For the people saying you have a hard time splitting acts because Grant Park is huge, I was able to easily split Jack White/Justice/Childish Gambino in 2012 and Jack White/Justice were at complete opposite sides of the park. It's not really that difficult to split sets if you really want to.
Also, the odd numbered years tend to be better lineups for Lolla so hopefully that holds true this year.
Have you done ACL as well? If so what's the comparison in venue size? I've done ACL and found getting around to be a breeze honestly.
I have no doubts that you can split headliner sets at Grant Park, i'd just like to know if you've really got to make haste y'know?
Unfortunately I haven't done ACL. I've been to Lolla, Roo, Orion, and Riot Fest. I'd say if you're splitting acts that are on opposite main stages to allow 5-10 minutes to get across the park. I jogged when I did it and stayed midway through the crowds so I had an out at each stage. The good thing about splitting headliners is the area between the stages is pretty empty and easy to navigate through. I would also be surprised if it took me 10 minutes to get from one side to the other.

Alright that's what I was looking to hear. Thank you!

To add to crufio's comments, the Buckingham Fountain route is always faster than walking down Columbus. Columbus is where the Chow Towns and the entrances to Perry's (South) and the Grove (the North end) are. It is always a clusterfuck going that way.
So if you want to get from the South main stage to the North main stage quick (or vice versa), pass Buckingham.
I think Riot Fest will pull No Doubt and Smashing Pumpkins away from Lolla this year. Not that Smashing Pumpkins is even worth seeing anymore. I haven't been keeping track of them for awhile now.

It could.
I also think P4k could grab Future Islands, FlyLo, and The War on Drugs. Unless they don't want FlyLo back a 2nd time (doubtful). In which case, would FlyLo be a Grove or Perry's act?
Lolla could nab P4k's 2014 headliners though. Beck's easily a #5 or #6, but he has nothing announced in terms of a tour; St. Vincent is a solid pre-headliner, and has nothing announced for Chicago AND has a pretty solid pre-Lolla gap; Kendrick could feasibly be a #5 or #6, but I could also see him pre-headline with a strong top 6 (in that scenario he'd probably be on the south stage, #7 or 8 on the lineup).

Agreed on all fronts. I am really expecting and hoping for St. Vincent this year. I could definitely see Kendrick headlining if he's actually billed a headliner at Roo, but I'd put him at 6 and Florence at 5, especially after that huge set she had at Lolla in 2012. My top 6 prediction is Kanye/Black Keys/Deadmau5/Muse/Florence/Kendrick.

I'd see four out of those six. I'd skip the Black Keys (I thought Turn Blue was at best, mediocre. Tell me they're doing Brothers front to back and I'm there, though), and Kendrick.
Kanye vs Muse would be the worst. But it won't happen (Deadmau5 bigger than Muse? Pfft). A more likely billing order would be Ye/TBK/Muse/Deadmau5/Flo/Kendrick.
Kanye (South) vs Deadmau5 (In this scenario I either stick with Kanye or split sets.) Muse vs Kendrick TBK vs FloMach

Yeah I would want Muse billed higher but idk if they'd throw Deadmau5 higher just because he's EDM and would have Rap/Rock/EDM in the top 3. I'm really pulling for Kanye to be there this year with his new album coming out. I don't want The Black Keys there but Lolla loves them and books them all the time so I figured that made sense.

St. Vincent won't be pre headlining at Lolla, she would close Grove. While more people should know who she is, she would be ranked lower on the poster. Grove 8:45-9:45. Kendrick isn't gonna pre headline again, if Roo has him as a headliner, why not Lolla? I don't think Lolla gets Future Islands, War on Drugs, or FlyLo: they all seem prime for P4K. It would be pretty lame if C3/Livenation booked Smashing Pumpkins for all their South American shows, and then let Riot book them. So I expect them at Lolla, and as a headliner on North. No EDM headliner has played South yet, I don't even think Daft Punk did, so Deadmau5 should be on North. No Doubt could go either way, so I won't touch that one. Would be cool if they played either one.
Smashing Pumpkins in 2015 cannot headline Lolla Chicago. They can, however, headline a night at Riot Fest. I would think Billy Corgan would jump at the chance of headlining a fest instead of wherever they would end up at Lolla. Probably around where A Perfect Circle was in 2011.

Also a poster by the name of "insid.er" is claiming to drop knowledge on the Lolla board. Claims the top 3 are set, and that one of them is either PJ, TBK, or Kendrick.
