Who are you people? I can't imagine ever missing McCartney for anything. I even left Wu-Tang early to get over there (and we had already seen him before).
The point was that it was great mostly because of the nostalgia factor. Seeing him for the first time is awesome. After that's worn off though there wasn't much to be amazed by. Especially if his show is very much the same every time around. I'd rather see something more impressive.

People who understand that there's more to life than seeing the same bands perform the same songs over and over and over again.
I don't care if it is the same songs. There's nothing going on that's better than McCartney/Beatles songs.

Thinking the same thing. Would have to be a very extreme situation for me to show up late or leave early when it comes to Sir Paul.
I was embarrassed with the amount people that left his set early at Firefly for Zedd. Thought it was only because of the FF crowd.
For the record and as you may recall, I'm a huge Beatles fan. But at the same time - as you have experienced yourself - I enjoy a good party. Therefore, "My Valentine", and similar tracks just weren't going to get me to the level I was hoping to reach.
I left a little early as well. I feel like nothing can live up to his Roo set. I saw the end of kaskade.
Thursday: Mutemath Aftershow at The Double Door Friday: Misterwives, Glass Animals*, Father John Misty, Hot Chip, Alabama Shakes, Gary Clark Jr.*, First 3 songs at Macca (couldn't get anywhere to see the stage so I left), Flying Lotus* Saturday: Catfish & The Bottlemen*, Ryn Weaver, Charli XCX*, DFA1979, White Sea, Elle King*, Brand New, Metallica Sunday: Circa Waves, George Ezra, Marina & The Diamonds*, Twenty One Pilots, Bully
* - I was up front/on the rail
Disappointed I couldn't get a decent spot for Macca but I am content with having rail for Flying Lotus because that crowd and that show was amazing. Made some friends with the people around me and danced like crazy. Also thorougly disappointed with the way Sunday played out as I was really looking forward to Florence but from my room at the Travelodge (left after Bully to eat in the room), it was just a lightning storm non-stop for an hour so I figured they were going to cut it short and it wouldn't be worth going back in.
There were only 2 times all weekend I couldn't get a good spot in the crowd and that was at McCartney and then at Twenty One Pilots (even though I had rail before the evacuation). I had rail for 7 sets and never had a negative experience with the people around me. No one was trying to barrel through people where I was at in crowds and none of the sets felt "too" crowded.

Top 10 of my weekend
1. McCartney 2. Hot Chip 3. Tame Impala 4. Brand New 5. Twin Peaks 6. Bully 7. TV on the Radio 8. Alabama Shakes 9. Florence & the Machine 10. Strand of Oaks
It hasn't really been a big issue until this year. The EDM stage (Perry's) seemed way louder than it's been previously. That or the Samsung Galaxy stage was quieter than it has been.
