Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Yeah it's single, but the camping is awesome, you get free beer all day til like midnight, and it's Wed-Sun (wed night pre party), a couple meals a day and front row main stage and revival. Both of those areas also have VIP bars and bathrooms. Coffee in the am and snacks of apples and peanuts in shell when you want them. It's pretty hard to top, and for my money, it was the best festival value I have ever purchased.

I am going to Wakarusa for the first time this year then straight to Bonnaroo the following weekend. It'll just be me and one of my buddies at Waka - he's gone to many Roos with me but can't go this year, so we figured we'd go to Waka. Since it will just be me and him it'd be awesome to meet up with some other cool people down there, especially if they were going to Roo the next weekend too. Anybody else doing the Waka-Roo tour?
Who makes guacamole happen!?!? Does a tabloid like the University of Oklahoma student paper make guacamole happen or do ME AND YOU make it exist? Just cause they write about it doesn't make guacamole exist - ME AND YOU MAKE IT EXIST!
Yeah. We are all hitting waka and then staying up that way Monday-Wednesday. We will have to talk to some people that way to find out where we want to go. Initially I'm thinking Eureka Springs/Fayettville/Nashville on the way to Manchester but I'm not 100% yet.

Cool was this in response to my post? I was thinking of crashing in Nashville and just seeing what happened on Monday and Tuesday night. I have some friends there. I figure there would be something cool going on.
Not sure how that will work with meeting up with the rest of my Roo group though as we'd normally be coming from Kentucky. May just go on back up there so we can all ride down together rather than try to meet up elsewhere.
Have you been to Waka before? I am looking forward to it. I got a Main Venue camping pass which seemed like the best way to go at the time. I thought some of the other campgrounds looked awesome, but I heard there were some downsides when I was researching on reddit and various message boards.

Yeah it was about your post. I know those threads you were talking about. We did.VIP and it's 100% cool. There is some leo on the back roads, but the fest is mostly on private land except part of Riversise and some of the hikes. Probably second to voodoo as far as anything goes.
We went last year for the first time and loved it all the way. Emphasis is rock, jam and edm but they do have some pretty basass rappers this year. Party goes til 6am. Only caution of main camping is if it rains hard, it can get swampy in parts. My only knock on waka is the check in line sucks butt. After that, it's a great 4 days. I prefer it to Bonnaroo personally, but that's whatever hippie is left inside doing the talking.
Still not sure what we get. I'm hoping Primus and Lotus get added and maybe Break Science. Then do they keep Ben Harper at the top or bring in something bigger like Panic? Also they have a lot of edm to fill out. I want main stage Pretty Lights, but some people think Tipper might get that. Idk. They did Tobin in 13, and the report I got was while the music might not have been the greatest, the stage was unreal. I saw a couple of clips, and it was a big production. 2 days.

I'm not sure who will get added at two but I'm hoping umph, as do some people on reddit who reference this. I'm assuming some more EDM will be added as well. I wouldn't guess Pretty Lights because at Waka wouldn't PL be above Ben Harper?
Edit. Also, who gets multiple sets this year in the top 10 outside of STS9?

I don't know. I think the 3rd release will clear up the likelihoods. I thought last year they announced the multiple sets a couple weeks after the final lineup, but I could be wrong.
Also from Reddit, Gratefulgrux confirms them at like #6.
Umphrey's will be at Waka this year, Pipeline has already confirmed to a few lucky people on Twitter. They will be in the 2015 lineup slot on the Wakarusa website between STS9 and Slightly Stoopid. George's Majestic (the venue Umps is playing in Arkansas) has previously sponsored a stage at Wakarusa. There will be no conflict. In fact Umphrey's always promotes Waka heavily during their shows at Georges....
Fwiw, there are typically some Inforoo meet ups in Nahville on Tuesday night before Roo. Then most of the diehards wrap up loose ends in Wednesday and head to the Farm that evening.

Ump's will almost certainly get 2 sets as they have become a Waka favorite and this will be their 6th straight year on the mountain. I expect the 2 slot to be EDM. I thought Skrillex until they listed Ben Harper first, so maybe Pretty Lights makes the most sense now. I don't see Primus being on the bill at this point as I can't see them being billed under the Roots.

Last year, Tribe, Umphreys, Chhese, Magic Beans, Manic Focus, Twiddle (3x) Floozies, Nakho, Keys n Krates and break science, Poolside and a couple others.
Papadosio is playing here at Tipitina's on Saturday April 18th. They were great at waka (and tips) last year, and I hope we get them back on Mulberry Mountain this year as part of tomorrow's announcement.
I don't like the final lineup as much as I liked 2014, but I guess the Lips' last festival run was pretty great, and 2 SCI sets aren't easily replaced. Thoughts and comments on the adds:
Major Lazer - Don't really care. I'm okay with Diplo and Jillionaire, and I don't hate the act as much as most people on here do, but I also don't love it either.
Thievery Corporation - Has been on my want to see list for a while.
Umphrey's - Probably 2 sets which is fine
Dirty Heads - If they are good enough at Hangout, I'll see them again. If I don't like them, I'll cross them off
Lotus - I hope Lotus gets multiple sets and does both a Lotus/Guilded Age set and a Talking Heads Deconstructed. This is a big add for me even though I'm seeing them in 3 weeks in NOLA.
Gigantic Underground Conspiracy - I didn't even know about this - Big G, Disco Biscuits, Underground Orchestra - this is probably an immediate Top 10 show for me and probably one of the EDM shows I'm most looking forward to seeing.
Moon Taxi - Killed it last year at Waka. I haven't seen them since, and they aren't on much that I'm going to, so I'm okay with this add.
Twiddle - Pretty much same as Moon Taxi if different style
The Magic Beans - Liked their 3 sets last year. (Also Mouth kind of falls in this category)
Tauk - A great add for a band I really dig
Galactic - There is a Galactic set and an a Galactic with Macy Gray set. Should be 2 parties
So while it's not as good as it was for me last year, I'm pretty okay with the lineup. First glance Top 10 for me looks like:
1) Lotus (hopefully multiple sets) 2) STS9 (also hopefully mutiple sets) 3) Gigantic Underground Conspiracy 4) Conspirator 5) Thievery Corp (based on reputation) 6) The Roots 7) Ben Harper 8) Big Gigantic 9) Tauk 10) Savoy
We'll see. There is a ton of HM, and a lot of shit I need to research!
Ehhhh Major Lazer at 2? I know which headlining set I'll be working during lol.
That second line is pure awesomeness.
I was hoping Polish Ambassador or Flying Lotus were going to be on the last round of additions, le sigh.
I ended getting Flying Lotus at Bonnarroo (I think). I haven't seen him yet. What I have seen on this lineup that I remember:
(From the Top 10) Major Lazer (#2), The Roots (#3), STS9 (#5), Umphrey's (#6), Slightly Stoopid (#7) Rebelution (#9), Young the Giant (#10).
(Not from the Top 10): Portugal. The Man, Big Gigantic, Lotus, EOTO, The Floozies, Ozomatli, Galacitc, BoomBox, Nahko & Medicine for the People (eh), Conspirator, Moon Taxi, Revivalists, MarchFourth!, Dopapod, Twiddle, Wick-it, Lindsay Lowend, The Magic Beans, Nth Power, Yojimbo, Tauk, Mouth, Gravity A & The Fritz.
Minimal digging with a suggestion or two and with hours and hours of shit still to screen, I want to see: Thievery Corporation, Particle, Giant Underground Conspiracy, Quixotic, Dilated Peoples, Rustie, Chali 2Na, Antiserum, Chance the Rapper, ProbCause, Janover & reSUNator and Cure for the Common. I'm going to try to catch Mountain Sprout or another bluegrass band or two along the way if at Backwoods Stage. Any recomendations for anything I need to add to my schedule of Jam, Rock, Bluegrass or Electronic, please let me know. Thanks.
LMFAO. It seems like this is the year of the mid and upper-mid card lineups. I'm not enthused with Hangout's, Bonnaroo's or Waka's top few (except Foo Fighters). Maybe the fall festivals like ACL, Voodoo, etc. will be more top heavy? I know you're okay with 'Roo's headliners. I'd see Kendrick again probably (especially if he plays with live participants as I'm expecting), but otherwise give me some lower card electronic leads since you're more hip to the freakier stuff than most. Quixotic seems pretty cool to me. And Janover should be strange if nothing else.
Major Lazer at 2 seens quite ludacris....but Ive never been to Waka. The rest of the lineup is pretty golden.
I know I probably over rep for it, because last year was the first time I went. But it's the best festival I have been to. They have hours and hours of shows I want to see every day and it has an extremely high chill/cool factor.
Major Lazer @ #2 sets a bad precedent, even for a wook festival!
and Waka is a hetti wook fest. While walking down the mountain to Satellite camping the Thurs night of the 2010 fest (sucked) I rescued a guy that had dosed himself on GHB and fell off a fucking cliff.

...pretty sure that's the year i went...panic, zpz, sts9, etc?...as we were driving in, a naked guy ran past us at full speed...jumped off a low bridge and ran into the woods...when 'wookiefoot' played late night, it was like a gathering of the craziest wooks i ever saw @ phish in the 90's. I was really thinking about returning, but the final announcement fell short for me. But, there's still plenty to enjoy.
