Damn. I will see all of those sets with the exception of Young the Giant and I'm not going to be able to see the 2nd Umphrey's Set. Damn that, but it's STS9 and Big Gigantic
I think seeing umphreys thursday and skipping em friday is wise. Sts9.....mainstage or tent? I kind of liked em more at that Boom Boom Tent at Hangout versus Euphoria mainstage.
Google wakarusa schedule
Estaban. After the last act, do they kick out non main camp pass holders or can you essentially endlessly wander the fest the entire weekend.
Fest is open I think 24 hours (deserted of course, but you can stay in there). Shows go until 6am at the Satellite Stage and often til 4 at the revival tent, then Yoga is early in the day. So it's always open (or was last year.)
Some additional stuff now popping up on my schedule (perhaps they're keying it in?)
Thursday - MarchFourt at Outpost Tent 5:30 - 6:45 Thursday - Conspirator 8:45-10:15 Satellite Stage - There goes half the f'n Slightly Stoopid set, but I love f'n Conspirator Thursday - The Floozies 12:45 - 2:00am Main Stage Thursday - Gigantic Underground Conspiracy Main Stage 2:30-3:45 AM Main Stage Thursday - Boombox 2:30 - 4:00am Revival Thursday - Rustie 2:30-4:00 Outpost Tent Thursday - Goldroom 2:00 - 3:15 Satellite Stage Thursday - Minnesota 3:30 - 4:45 Satellite Stage ------------------------ Friday (for shit we didn't already cover)
Main Stage 4:45 - 6:00 Collie Budds 6:30 - 8:00 Galactic with Macy Gray
Setting up for actually brutal conflicts for me all over. This isn't the whiny rock band vs. indie band off XMU stuff, this is mf'n real [tm].
EOTO vs. Thievery Corporation? Are you fucking kidding me???!?!?!
STS9 vs. Joe Russo's Almost Dead
I'm stopping there. There will end up being a lot of stuff I want to see that I can't see. Luckily I saw Rebelution a couple of months ago, so since I'm clearly going to have to miss both of their sets, well, you guys know how it is.

I caught some of Eoto last weekend. Pretty decent but I bailed on Thievary because they went on 11pm Sunday and I had work at 6am. me and ne215 already like the schedule....which is bad because its not even half out. Conflicts are sure to rise.
P the man vs matisyahi ozo > expendables (Ozo wins on account of a later conflict Lotus > Rebulation Ozo < glass animals reptar and dirty heads Conspirator and slightly stoopid
Yeah, they're always going to have brutal conflicts. Luckily the grounds are small enough to where you can split sets. But yeah, having to say (without looking at the schedule), miss STS9's Friday set for JRAD or something and then catch STS9 Saturday is part of it here. I also enjoyed picking what stage I'd rather see who in. Not that it makes it any easier when they're all bands you like.
not too many bad conflicts for me so far so im very pleased. still waiting to see where The Revivalists, cure for the common, Jakubi, Hearts of Darkness, trippy turtle, trigger hippy, prob cause, 2na, and The Fritz all land

Bank on it. But at the same time, there's so much stuff I want to see, so if I get parried down from say 68 acts to 45, I'll probably be on a stretcher by the end of the festival anyway. But yeah, you're going to end up missing a shit ton of stuff you want to see. Walk from Main to Revival isn't bad, and Outpost is sort of perpendicular to and behind the Revival but literally right close to one another. Satellite stage is across the campgrounds and the hardest to get to. Backwoods Stage is sort of on the side Main Stage is, so that will be easy to get to. You see what's hopping on main stage and revival so far. You know you want front row and free beers for all those killer sets happening. You guys need to spend those extra few bucks like we told you. If it's the one time you went to Waka, you wanted to do that shit right with the free beer and front rows. We can't emphasize this enough, and they will upgrade you at any point. Get those tax returns in!!!
Oh and EOTO brings the big time light show to Waka. They played main stage last year, and I'm standing at the rail blown away by watching the screens, because we're so close, you can't really see the light show. I made sure we went back to GA for Umphrey's since they had their new laser show set up. I didn't want to be right there at the stage watching the screens to see what I was missing! That's was a strange phenomenon.

Yeah, for all the discussion in your Demise of Headliners thread, this is the one festival that truly spent its money on the middle and who is doing it their own way.
The schedule ( www.wakarusa.com/stage-schedule-mobile/ ) is still only about 65% filled out. I'm disappointed that both Tauk sets are at Riverside Stage, as I'm pretty much unlikely to even be anywhere near there all weekend. They are f'n great. So now with conflicts building by the minute, I'm at:
Wednesday: KOA, Cure for the Common, Jakubi (all at Backwoods Stage)
Thurday: Andy Frasco, Moon Taxi (which will cause me to miss The Fritz), The Magic Beans/Gladkill, Devil Makes Three, Dopapod (which will cause me to miss Ghost Owl and Hearts of Darkness and Slightly Stoopid), Conspirator, Umphrey's McGee, The Floozies (will miss Twiddle and Mountain Sprout), Gigantic Underground Conspiracy (causing me to miss Boombox and Rustie), Minnesota, Govinda
Friday: Gravity A (homeboys), The Delta Saints (means I miss Wick-It the Instigator), Krooked Drivers, Chali 2NA (meaning I'll miss Collie Buddz, Old 97's and Thomas Jack), Galactic with Macy Gray (will miss jackLNDN and most of Dilated Peoples though might squeeze in 10 minutes of that), Lindsey Lowend/Chance the Rapper, STS9, 30 minutes of Umphrey's, Big Gigantic, 30 minutes of Antiserum/Quixotic, Moody Good, The Human Experience (if I like him Saturday opening for Papadosio, else bed)
Saturday: Fruition (string band), Rising Appalachia, Late Night Radio, Dirty Heads (will have to miss Quantic), ProbCause, Galactic, The Roots, Ozomatli, Ben Harper & Innocent Criminals, STS9/Joe Russo's Almost Dead, few minutes of Major Lazer maybe, Savoy (will miss Hermitude), The White Panda, Black Tiger Sex Machine
Sunday: The Nth Power, Particle, Greenhouse Lounge (will mean I have to miss Stick Figure and Trigger Hippy), The Expendables (?), Janover & the reSUNator, Portugal. The Man, Lotus, 30 minutes of Eoto, Theivery Corporation, late night whatever/wherever
What's kind of cool this year is that they're not afraid to put bands at the Satellite Stage. Yeah, it's Wooktronica (thanks to Rory Bellows for that term), but you know I love that shit. Last year I think only Smallpools (or some similar name did), but this year is Conspirator and Greenhouse Lounge. Both have excellent light shows, though I haven't yet seen Greenhouse Lounge.
Looks like a Wakafluck of conflict. I'm honestly not going to think or look any more about it until after HoF.
It's going to get worse, because there is plenty of stuff they hadn't slotted before I left work to eat lunch. Problem with waiting to Hangout is you still might not have a schedule for that. I'm waiting for Waka to finish up, and then I'll get my basic game-plan refined a little. Life will get in the way, so there are liable to be a couple of drop/adds over the next 6 weeks and 5 days. But otherwise, I can sort of decide if there is anything I'm leaving off that I need to split with stuff that I'm not 100% sold on having to see.
Friday: Split Lip Rayfield > Gravity A > Delta Saints or Wick-it the Instigator > Old 97's > Galactic with Macy Gray or Dilated Peoples > Chance > STS9 > Umphrey's for a bit (probably the whole set though) > Big G > Paper Diamond/Quixotic > Moody Good
Saturday: Fruition > Reptar (Maybe Yojimbo but riverside is so far away right?) > Young the Giant > A bit of Galactic > The Roots > Glass Animals > Ben Harper > Joe Russo's Almost Dead/STS9 > Savoy or Hermitude
Sunday: The Nth Power > a little Nahko > Particle > Ozomatli > Portugal. The Man > Lotus > Thievery Corp
Way more conflicts than I originally thought I would have. Probably as many if not more than the most recent two Bonnaroos.
Damn Theo. I guess I'll be running into you for about 75% of the shows. Holler when shit gets closer. I don't even know where the Riverside Stage is. The shuttles to it are near the entrance, but we didn't get over there last year either. You can actually rent golf card rides ($3.00/per) at any point to get you anywhere on the grounds if your feet hurt or are tired or just want a ride to the front or whatever, but we didn't go that far. We tried to find the people who were doing the river rafting up near the front, but staff told us that the rivers were too high and swift from rains, so they were closed to kayaking. Only way I'd do a river trip this year is if it's in the morning. But morning at Waka? Oh man. Those are pretty rough. After the first night of yahoos "WOOOOOing" all hours, most people are just out cold til mid morning, especially if you're partying or out until 6:30 watching music. Alternative would be a Thursday AM trip, since Wednesday is just kind of a chill night. It's a maybe.
Here's the 2014 map. Not sure if it's going to change at all, but I'd doubt it.

It does look that way. I'm a little bummed none of Dopapod, particle, Conspirator, and Portugal. The Man got late night sets. That being said a lot of the late night isn't really in line with what I listen to but I am pretty excited for pretty excited for waka late night. I'll for sure message you when it gets closer and we can meet up at a set. I'll probably do a golf cart ride on thursday so I can split Kopecky and Conspirator.
i =m in the same boat that late night stuff isnt usually what i go for but i cant wit to check out. Gotta make sure to do a day from start to finish too

The late night is pretty fun. The Satellite Stage rules even if the edm can get freaky, and the main stage has Big G, Gigantic Underground Conspiracy (Big G, Conspirator/Disco Biscuits, Underground Orchestra collaboration) and then Outpost goes to 4. I remember a buddy of mine popped up late night Thursday and found me passing out on the hill at Satellite Stage for I think Keys N Krates or something. His fiance's grandmother had died in Waco so they were supposed to have backed out. It's basically just the downslope of a hill that makes a natural ampitheater. They light it up and trick it out, and it's another world.
I fd my ankles up bad last year as I ended up walking in Aquasocks all week/weekend. There are a lot of slopes, and the shard content (mountain rocks) of the ground is high. I'm wearing hightops this year, and as soon as I get back in town from Hangout, I'm probably going to try to walk at least 2 miles a day. I think lack of hydration probably played a part in that too, as all I drrank for 5 days was booze, coffee and red bull. Raging 100mph and jumping up and down didn't help either. Haha. I might have to get some pamprin for my old ass legs.

Grateful Web has the story on the schedule release and some of the new shiz they have this year. We get free apples in VIP, but I thought the idea of adding a local farmer's market was pretty cool:
New this year will be the Wakarusa Farmer’s Market, organized by The Arts Society of Ozark and several local agricultural non-profit organizations. Fresh produce will be available on-site and brought in from local gardeners and farmers all located in Franklin County, AR. Patrons will have a chance to enjoy fresh vegetables, honey, jams, jellies, cheeses, free range eggs and more.
Food out the garden is almost always better than anything you can buy. JMO
Thurssday: Andy Frasco>Jakubi then go catch the end of Taxi's set> Dopapod> Kopecky>Umph>Floozies>GUC or Rustie

I've got two MAJOR conflicts and a few minor. Honestly, it isn't as bad as I thought. It really helps bands are doing two ro three sets.
Thursday - Moontaxi -> Devil Makes Three -> Conflict [Slightly Stoopid, Kopecky, The Revivalists, Conspirator| This will break down most likely to Kopecky vs Conspirator] -> Umph -> Goldroom/GUC [Most likely GUC] -We match up pretty good ths day-
Friday - Natural Child -> Revivalists -> Conflict [Old 97s vs Chali2na. This just sucks] -> Galactic /w MC -> Jamestown/Dilated Peoples -> Chance -> STS9 -> Big G -> Quixotic -That conflict sucks ass. I really have no idea who to see. Ive seen J5 a few times and Old 97s once. Other than that, a pretty solid day
Saturday - Mama K and the Shades -> DH/Reptar (same logic as above) -> Cure for the Common -> Young G -> Roots -> Glass Animals -> STS9 2nd set or whatever, Major Lazer - > White Panda -> 530AM Black Tiger Sex Machine until dawn if I can make it -Another solid day
Sunday - Nth Power -> Nahko -> Ozo -> P the Man/Matisyahu -> Lotus -> Trippy Turtle -> Thievery Corp -> End it with Goldfish!!!!
