Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I also told them they needed to bring the hammocks back and string them between the trees along the fence line and throw in some umbrellas for good measure.
Edit: Oh yeah. I forgot. WE NEED PHISH!!!!!
I also added Phish into the needs for 2016. I know most of my group wouldn't like it but I would love it!!
Wonder if Smashing Pumpkins will be in play for next year. Seeing the Acoustic/Electric tour in 2 weeks at a really small venue outside Buffalo, Riveria Theatre.
I'll be there this year, but it's probably 2 and done for me. I appreciate what they do, but it's kind of evolving in a way that doesn't suit me very well since i don't particularly like popular music. Instead of a hippie Mecca, it's now kind of a bucket list event. Give me waka 24/7/365 over Bonnaroo. I always get into arguments with some local Bonnaroo lovers, but they are great with Mumford & Sons, Billy Joel, Kanye, Avett Bros etc. it's not that I hate all of that, I'm just indifferent. And for the 1500 I shelled out for me and my youngest this year, we could have done something else after Waka.
I'm not hating, because I had a ball in 2012 (vastly superior lineup for my tastes) and should have a lot of fun this year too despite one day with a nearly 7 hour gap. I think Jabco and his old lady are coming up, so that will be cool. But in the end, I even prefer Bear Creek to the hassles of Bonnaroo and that's like a tiny boutique 3500 people at a funk fest vs 80,000.

It seems like a lot of fests (unfortunately) are moving towards booking the more popular as opposed to what they originally represented. Hangout has done the same. The one thing Hangout has going for it that can help me overlook the fact that it's not the same fest I fell in love with is the beach. I grew up spending my summers in Gulf Shores, so just being there regardless of what's going on, is a plus for me. Having said that...I want my hippy kids back. I want them to move back to where they were the first few years where every third or fourth chicklet had a hoola hoop around her waist. When you wanted to say hello or "I think you're cool" to a stranger only took a simple peace sign. And jam music wasn't a thing of the past...
For sure. I guess we got Umphreys this year and tribe last year, but if they could slot two or three more jam sets, that would suit me fine. Hangout always has (so far) enough other stuff that at least interests me enough to be able to put together a quality schedule. Since I like about half of the Edm I encounter, and since it was tilted in my favor this year (GRiZ, Gramatik, Adventure Club, Grandtheft, Break Science, Keys n Krates and then getting better than expected sets out of Jack U and Skrillex) helped me fill out the funk, rap and rock I was otherwise going to see. But another reason I would more likely still go to Hangout (assuming they don't go radically pop) is that it's close. It's about 45 minutes from my other place in NE Pensacola, so the 4 years we have gone so far, we just made the drive every day. I reupped for my 5th in 2016, so hopefully they will deliver again.

>sniff<
It seens they are trying to touch all fan bases and rather then towards one or two specific genres. Essentially, trying to become one if the top fests. With that said, I think it was a bit too pop and edm sided and could have used another couple jam and hip hop sets.
Wakarusa is in two days. It's camping but it is littered w jam and hip hop. Chali2na snd the roots, even matisyahu. 2 sets from both sts9, umph, and a single set from lotus. One of my fav alt-country rockers old 97s. Tons of edm. Look into it and find me n estaban next year for it.
Haha word. It's going to be hard not to go next year, but if I hit the Buku/Jazzfest/hangout/Waka/Electrc Forest spring and early summer run, I ought to be able to see about everything I want to see until Voodoo.
Filled out my Hangout survey. Pretty much what everyone else is probably saying regards venue. Beach is awesome. Excellent vacation. Pool is handy for mid-day relax time. Condo is awesome but, expensive. Noted improvement in port-o-lets and God bless those folks who worked as attendents. Camelback sort of slipped on water quality and availability. People who worked there were cordial and got water in the bottles...but, the water was luke warm and tasted funky this year for some reason. I recommended they move the Alabama Seafood to the Beer Garden and make more shade and picnic tables. Move the BMI or whatever you call it off the asphalt into a shaded space where you could grab a bite, sit in the shade and enjoy folky, acoustic sets. That is why I like the Hangout Restaurant Stage. Put fans or HVAC coolers into Boom Boom. Need more grass, palm trees and those little mounds to stand on and see from the back of Palladia. Most important...don't make changes that screw it up.
I am one of the older (classic) attendees and understand I am in a minority. I liked Tom Petty and DMB, OCMS, Jason Isbell and Amos Lee. I just asked to keep the balance and try to have someone of that genre on one of the stages for most of the day(s). I find myself moving farther back for performers like MMJ and TV on the Radio, which is fine. Just let some younger folks damage their hearing. Trust me...it will. Definitely want to see the younger, hipper, millienials get their EDM/funk, whatever is popular with them too. There are soooo many festivals now that I believe you have to have a niche or you will decline. Hangout has the beach and that is pretty neat. I will be there next year good Lord willing.
On the Bonnaroo subject, my plan is to try for my first one next year. This was a blowout year for me with doing Hangout, Life Is Beautiful, Lolla, and Riot Fest plus about 10 other shows all this summer. Next year the plan is Hangpout, Roo, Lolla, and Riot Fest. Lolla and Riot Fest are super cheap for me because I know people working booze tents so I get hooked up all day and there are zero travel/lodging expenses. Hangout will be the big blowout expense that I pick away at throughout the year so it's not as bad. But after looking into Roo more, it's so easy to just hop on and do last minute that I'm gonna lean towards it next year. It doesnt sell out so you can grab tickets late after the lineup, day by day, and even the schedule is completely out so you know exactly where you stand with the fest. Camping is included in the ticket so then it's just gas for the 8 hour drive. Basically it will be lineup dependent for me but the plan is to pop the roo cherry.
never aws that intersted in Roo. Im not big on camping especally in that heat and i prefer the mid-smaller size crowds where its not a massive struggle to get a half decent spot at most sets. The Super Jams really interest me every year but its prob one ill never make it to, same with Coachella but for different reasons.

Great. You'll love it. I've only missed one Bonnaroo (the 2nd one). There's nothing like it for my tastes. Though Hangout is a can't miss thing for me now too.
Yeah, Ima try to give them a 3rd shot since they are main stage. But I have a small window since they are 12:45-2:15. STS9 vs JRAD at 12-1:30 and Savoy is 2-3:30. I'm gonna have to miss Lindsay Lowend and Brosafari. I always thought Brosafari had to be a joke. I mean come on. But it's not. I'm not even hating on his trap beats in some songs, but no. Only way I look over there from Savoy is if I notice a bro fight break out.
Has anyone been on jamcruise? Seems like a rocking time. Just not sure of the whole boat aspect. My bar tab would be insane
No but we hit the inaugural Cruise to the Edge (got to see U.K. twice  ). It was on an Italian ship, but they had this deal for like 90 drinks for a couple hundred bucks. Me and my friend split that, and I'm thinking no fn way I can drink 45 drinks in 5 days. But we were out by Wednesday. I mean it's kind of insane but if you are up for 17 or 18 hours a day and even drink a brew every couple hours, it adds up. Compound that by being able to be completely irresponsible...They ended up having some last 2 day plan for an additional 20 drinks for about 60. Haha. That was pretty great. Me and Jabco were talking about hitting it in a few years, but I got a few other things I have to do first.
