Bill is over Matagora Island with sustained winds of 60mph. Thoughts going out to anybody in that neck of the woods. From what I've been hearing, wet stuff is the last thing you guys need right now.
At Widespread Panic at Artpark overlooking the gorge and Canada. My buddy knew one of the head security guards and got us hooked up with front of stage wristbands. Killer first set.
Local newspaper headlines were Bonnaroo this morning. Sherriff said "different crowd this year", "arrests up from 60 to 76", but, citations went down "from 258 to 132". One man died, one car fire, several dumpster and campsite fires, seized "three cars and $15,000". Other then the heat, fairly uneventful Bonnaroo as far as police were concerned. They are trying all cases versus mailing in a check this year according to DA. Dunno what "different" implies.
Anybody catch the after festival police report on Hangout? I don't remember seeing anyone arrested or physically hauled off to jail. Also didn't notice as many people struggling with heat or health issue. One friend cut his toe. Did not cruise on back home.

Recap please...(i should have streamed the show during that lousy game.)

Set 1: Travelin' Light Can't Get High Weight Of The World Ride Me High > Shut Up And Drive Pilgrims Space Wrangler > Greta > North
Set 2: Second Skin > Rebirtha > Cotton Was King One Arm Steve > Henry Parsons Died Cease Fire > Jamais Vu > Drums > Surprise Valley > Rock
Encore: Chainsaw City
Great show overall. High point for me was Shut Up and Drive because the place finally started to fill up a little and you feel the bands energy rise. Duane Trucks was awesome on drums. I was very impressed. It was super empty for an Artpark show. Especially for the first one of the season and being 80 degrees and sunny in western NY. It was literally the least amount of people I have ever seen at an Artpark show by a wide margin. The front of stage area was sold out and packed though and everyone up front really brought it.

Love that venue and that little town it's in....yeah, western ny and upstate is a dead zone for them....duane definitely plays a little more up tempo than todd (still don't know what the story is with him and the band.)...nice mix of old and new in that set.

Moten, I was on the right side of front of stage by the beer bar. Agree with the crowd size. Not sure what is up with that but the energy was lacking. It could of been better. First set last year before the storm was raging compared to both sets this year. Just might be me tho.
Just booked the condo!...back to the east side...Regatta....actually got the best deal i've had in six years (though still awaiting my confirm email) My wife wanted to go back to the San Carlos, but they've really jacked the rates on that one.

We've been at Regatta four years now; next year is our 5th. Nothing special, but decent and the location is the best. I make breakfast for anyone that shows up every day, join us any time!

You may regret that invite. I'm liable to rangle in all of the west side folks early one day so we can all head over there together and eat you out of house and...condo. How does Friday sound for everybody? Great way to start off the weekdend!

This is MORE than ridiculous. 11 months from now...Friday, May 20th, 9:00am - Mimosas, Irish Coffee and Bloody Mary's at the White/Tan House, west side. We may/may not have breakfast waiting for us on the East side afterwards but we WILL have fun. And name tags. And possibly pink crustacean bandanas...

WooHoo! That's too cool! Count me in as one head and let me know what your AM drink order is and I'll bring your Mimosas/Irish Coffees/Bloody Marys to you. Or, you can come and join us for AM cocktails and lead the parade back to your place. You walk in front with the broom, and we follow with the Kazoos.

Some Bloody Mary mix is always welcome. Liquor store is across the street, so exhausted supplies are easy to replenish. I sincerely hope to see a few of you, especially since I missed out on all the meet-ups this year. I can't believe we're already planning next year haha.
Can't remember who I owe the nudge to regards buying a Stones ticket but....YOU ARE FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!. New Best Concert I have ever seen. And Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood plus Joe Walsh smoked the "set up" band action. It was a hot and muggy night in Nashville, but watching those 70 year olds melt the faces of everyone there and playing just about every one of their hits...taking two full hours, amazing. Never seen a band pay so much attention to details and get it right. Listened to the rewind on the radio after the show and the DJ who went to the show was as pumped up as I was. In recovery after driving til 2:30 am to get home. Again, thanks, punched that bucket list item with gusto and ready for Fleetwood Mac next.
I'm in for breakfast. Maybe brunch? I threw my clock away the morning after I retired. That is a pretty decent walk with the roads all screwed up for the festival, but hey, if awake, I'll make the trek. Are we gonna try to pull everyone together for a pool night? That was a lot of fun on Monday night...thanks Sarah! And the lady who brought those high ball watermelon slices...wow. I believe we were short a few musicians at the pool and understand a few who did not get to attend will schedule next year. I am pretty sure I am keeping the IWE condo I'm in. Especially since Chick is moving across the street. And the offer of bringing my sound system is still open.

Thank you, Bob! That was a great way to end the fest. We need a bigger band next year.
Welp after Mumford f*cked up the week for myself, my bro, and sis by postponing their show Wednesday, Frank Turner made it better. Looks like it's gonna be a bit till I get a chance to see Mumford again, hopefully Hangout next year, but gonna catch Frank at the House Of Blues in October. All thanks to you sweet people on here too. Would have never even given this guy a chance if it wasn't for this thread. Should be a great show.
