Haha. But that would be hypocritical of them. I am old but damn me if I'm going to expect something different from a later generation when I grew up in the late 70s and early 80s. We picked up that torch from prior generations...
Bingo. It is hypocritical. But, it is what it is. These people started off as young and free and broke (translate: liberal) and ended up as old and set in their ways and well off (tranlate:conservative) . They may not forget where they came from, but they sure as hell don't want to go back there and/or invite those that are still young and/or free and/or liberal to come and join them where they are now.
It's just a matter of time. The clock ticks on and things change. we're all going to go there at some point. All it takes is a younger generation coming along that listens to music or wears clothes that we find offensive in some way or another. Sooner or later we're all going to look at a new "fangled" craze and think, "What the hell are they thinking?!?".
I've already hit a barracade with kids that wear pants that are 10 sizes too big so they have to hold them up when they walk. To them I say: I DO NOT want to see your underwear unless you have the balls to wear them on TOP of your pants. Now, THAT would be a fashion statement.

lol they're just lyrics. To one song. I actually love the melody of that song too. Hope they play it in Chicago when I see them again. Sh*t play it twice idc.
There were so many good or fantastic bands performing, bailing on the heat was an easy call. That song just caught me at the wrong time and I went for plan B. Totally understand folks enjoying his show. He really brings the energy.

Nice job man. Id have so many conflicts. Someone put in a word to Hangout to hire Zen as a booking agent.

Would love to see you put up a schedule for it if you're up to the test.
Definitely an awesome lineup there Zen. Seems a little tilted to me. If you could trade out a couple of the similar sounds/performers for a couple of these, I would be more inclined to "heck yeah"
Tedeschi Trucks Band (They could play the pre-closer on Main Stage easy), North Mississippi Allstars playing their stuff, Amos Lee (Killed Red Rocks...his new live album is awesome), Ray LaMontagne (I missed him last time he played Hangout), Jason Isbell (new album coming out), Sturgill Simpson, Lindsey Buckingham (special guest Stevie Knicks), Kacey Musgraves, Leo Bridges, Flo rida (not a fan of hip-hop, but this guy can lay down some dance beats for sure), Earth Wind and Fire or equal 70s disco band, Michael Franti and Spearhead (new album), and my vote for closer next year is Jimmy Buffett....yep the king of Party on the Beach. If no Jimmy, another performer I haven't seen but is great and a rebel of sorts is Eric Church...he could play Hangout in that ZBB/Tom Petty slot. I still think the Doobie Brothers would make a good closer if they could get Michael McDonald to play with them. Cheat the Hangman, Eyes of Silver, and Old Black Water would be waaaaay cool on the beach as a closer.
Breaking Benjamin's new release rocks and seems to fit the Hangout breakout band mode...look for them to show up this year on the festival circuit.
Definitely up for Pearl Jam, Muse, Jane's Addiction, Tame Impala, Porter Robinson, Chris Cornell, St Paul and Broken Bones, Jamell, Vintage Trouble, Moon Taxi, Albert Hammond Jr, Nate Ruess, Moon Taxi, Joan Jett....

I'd love to see them get St Paul and the BBs back and move them to one of the beach stages. Last time I caught them they were awesome, but it was a little too crowded in that little parking lot to dance around much.
Though they're undercard acts I feel like we could tentatively pencil in Of Monsters & Men, Twenty One Pilots, Sturgill, and Brandon Flowers for next year. All are right up Hangout's alley and were not booked this year. Hangout usually books artists either just starting a fest/tour run (ZBB, MMJ) or catch them on the tail end of fest runs (Foster, Skrillex). At least when it comes to the top few lines that is.

Please add Punch Brothers so they can play the day of The Strokes and cover Reptilia! <3
Inforoo By the Pool quartet for Reach the Beach 2016. Featuring Krsip, Kim and Sarah on vocals. I'm gonna LMAO when Benjamin winds up the closer on Chevy-Surfy stage with Sam Smith.
Lucky you. I'd rather go to Gulf Shores, but alas, Destin it is. I'm really counting on whoever it is that lives in Destin, though I forgot who, and Bob, for some solid tips.
Got a message into my fishing bud in Destin. I trust his advice on food and drinks. Let you know when I get a reply. Apparently Marina Cafe is really good. "Crust Pizzeria" is really good. Jackacudas is highly recommended for seafood and sushi and nice view at marina.
Fuddpuckers may sound lame but, really good tiki bar with couple good drinking bands and lots of ladies. Fun crowd, not to expensive, drink specials, friendly waitresses.
