yeah, I'm serious. plus, I don't think his ass looks that bad. just sayin'...everything is relative. I have stood behind much worse in the last few days. I give the dude props for dressing it up nice and festive.
seems like you changed your mind. "Plus, his momma should have taught him better. And...I may be wrong, but that looks my kiddy standing behind him..." Whatever that means.
Oh come on. Lighten up. Haven't these people suffered enough? Calvin Harris cancelled on them after all.
Ok, so Sarah, this is your fault. I am officially going VIP next year. So far me and my peeps are having an awesome time regardless of the munchkin mix.
Welcome to the VIP Club!! <3 I waved at you from the pool this morning.
Danced my ass off at Wailers and RTJ. We're at the condo to put on dry clothes. We're doing Lenny > Courtney > Flo.

...exact same day.
Does anyone know if Zoogma's "Hotel California" mashup is a regular tune of theirs...it's stuck in my mind today.

Didn't change my mind. His momma should have taught him better, and that looks like my son next to him. My son's butt doesn't look a whole lot better in a speedo and if I saw him in public dressed that way, I'd call him out too.
Pell - not bad! Run the Jewels - excellent Grimes - A+ one of the best shows this weekend Raury - great job Flume - saw half and it was good Lenny Kravitz - saw half and it was great Ellie Goulding - excellent Florence and the Machine - excellent
Did anyone also see Florence at Voodoo? Just wondering how they compared. Yesterday looked like fun, I would have been down but it didn't seem like it'd be easy to score a wristband for Sunday so I didn't bother driving over.
They got bagged and tagged in the Gulf Shores Police Party Tent instead of the main jail. I guess that's a time saver? Still gotta be marched in front of a Judge so I don't know what the deal is there.

The two guys in front of me last night said this show was better than her Voodoo set fwiw.
I felt like this year was way more crowded than last year. I think its because there were so many super "popular" people vs maybe relatively unknown people that the majority of the crowd would be at one show instead of spread out. Example Fett Wap vs. Grimes slot. I'd say 80% were at Fetty and that caused a headliner type exodus that made it impossible to move anywhere for about 30 min.
The crowd at Lenny felt more like the old days of Hangout. Room to dance, a little more friendly and I guess a little older. Although I did see a huge crew with frat shirts from Spring rush '15.
The crowds made it hard to move from one show to the next even with the time between sets. I missed a few people just because it would take so long moving from one stage to another.

Agreed. The crowds really mellowed out after Fetty Wap. Did the obnoxious people leave after his set?
We were quite impressed with the Lenny set. Courtney is so awkward. She can't handle her new found fame. And Flo was amazing! After the shitshow that was Friday and Saturday, Sunday really blew us away!
We're here until Wednesday morning if any of y'all would like to meet up.

Lenny should of replaced Calvin Harris on Saturday night. His set was rocking.
We bought our VIP loyalty tickets for next year. The experience was that good. They better not change anything up on us, even though they didn't have wine at the Hangout or Surf stages like they advertised. They could of used a better entrance on the west side, but besides Friday, it flowed well. The metal barricade sections weren't long enough to direct GA.
Also heard a young girl ask a security guard was "GA' stood for while I was walking into the VIP area at the surf stage........., 'youths'.

There were times that I came out after a show and felt that 'holy shiz' moment. There was just people everywhere. Flume was about as packed as Pretty Lights from 2014.
Also, kids these days are just....young. Some of them just looked young and way to quacked up.

Anyone else realize that Ellie Goulding wasn't really singing last night? Her lips were off with the backing track. Seemed she 'sang' more during some of the solos.
Nice 2 see the social justice warriors spreading their tentacles! The weekend was great. The music was superb as always. A little heavy on pop which brings out more people who are just there to chat and gossip, but to each their own. I get what Hangout's purpose is & it's being served. A greater variety of people have now see Gulf Shores & know how beautiful it is. I had a great time & may be back.

Totally agree. Lenny was so good. He played longer than scheduled and like you said, the experience was more like the hangout we know.
We are already home and unpacked. As always, a great weekend. Can't wait to see what's to come next year!
Holy shit this place is paradise. Only had one issue/bro problem and it was bad. Two dudes forced their way up after Lenny and started cursing out a teenage girl for no reason and literally tried to fight her for no reason, a few of us has to intervene and refrain from knocking him out. Outside of that it was smooth. Like you all said it was packed inside and you could feel it most of the time.
I'll give a more detailed review when I get home but a quick top 5 for me is Florence, PTM, Lenny, RTJ, Zoogma.
Glad I was able to finally meet some of you too! Zaj, Krisp, Chic, solid rock all are great people and it seriously was a pleasure
Taking in some last minute beach time before heading back to B'ham. Had no plans to go this weekend because of the lineup but was handed a last minute ticket. Been to every hangout but 2012 and this was as fun as ever.
99% of my interactions with these post-millennials were super positive. The kids are almost too nice. This old fart likes to get rowdy at shows sometimes. This weekend was not as seedy as some years past. Crowds never seemed an issue to me.
Count me as a fan of the BMI stage on the beach.
Caught some superb shows: Kurt Vile A+, always love to ride the freak train. Portugal was good. Better than last time I saw them. Cage always does it for me but not this time. Seemed kinda flat. FOALS was absolutely one the best shows I've ever seen and hands down the best of the weekend. Calvin should have emailed his set and let someone push play. It would have been perfectly fine.
Run the Jewels were great. Never sure about some rap acts but dominated their set. Caught a little Powers, Fetty Wap, & Grimes. All good quality fun. The crowd at Fetty was insanely huge. Flume was good for a little dancing. Courtney Barnett was amazing. Even better than expected and great festival closer for me.
A nice weekend. Only complaint is I broke my new sun glasses.
There's a difference between doing alcohol & other drugs versus not knowing how to conduct yourself on them.
I'm just kind of joking around. But to be real I'd rather be around a bunch of kids on molly or psychs than a bunch of shit faced kids being extremely rowdy and rude. How often does some stranger being fucked up at a festival actually interfere with your enjoyment? If anything I laugh at how gone some people look. It's not like some person on molly is following you the whole fest screaming in your ear with a megaphone.

I was really close for Ellie. I was close enough to realize she was actually singing, but the screens on the side had a delay which made it look like she was lip syncing.

That literally happened at Florence after Lenny. Some oafy drunk bro pushed this girl n n threatened to beat her up. Most of the crowd rallied behind her including ne215 and myself. They eventually left.

I've been meaning to ask this. Is that calvin harris in your avi?
