...A Friday musical contribution: File under what could have been. This is a great, largely unknown, 90's album. Unfortunately, the lead singer, bass player and manager died when the tour van crashed...just before the album was released.

I can't see it due to company restrictions. What is iiiiiiit!?
Dudes having pissing contests on a Friday afternoon sucks.
That is all.
My roommate in college's dad could make it over a powerline/telephone wire and was/is the undisputed pissing champ even on a Saturday. At this age, it would be satisfied with a 6 foot stream. Pwnd
I read where Drake was considered worst spring 2015 festival act and totally bombed coachella. Add him to the list above; Kanye, pit bull, Taylor Swift that I hope never play HOMF.
drake did fine at coachella. and totally crushed gov. ball. too. notice no one complaining after that show?? i look forward to catching him in october at ACL right after his new album drops in Sept.
coachella people are just lame. even drake will tell you, "i got enemies, got a lot of enemies. got a lot of people tryn to drain me of this energy!"
Maybe it's just me, but if they brought out a mega rap star to HL next year, I'd vote for Dr. Dre. I realize that he might not 100% represent wholesomeness, but his credit might overcome that.
ehh there was rumblings of some kind of NWA tour with the movie coming out but it doesnt sound like anything that would hit up more than a fest or 2 in the states if it even happened

Can we get that and your entire "top 10 of 2015" in your sig.

By the way...who the heck spiked y'all's coffee? I'm gone less than 24 hours and you guys have managed to rant for 3 or 4 pages. What the heck is going on?

Seems realistic to a point and I'd be ok with it. I need to find the time to put together another full mock.

What do you like, what do you not?
1. I doubt New Pornographers will be touring because Destroyer will most likely still be touring next summer. 2. I'd suggest changing the lineup like this to make it more realistic: put Tame Impala in The Strokes's slot, put the Strokes in Hozier's slot (and extend it 15 minutes), and put Hozier in Tame Impala's slot. BECAUSE... you had too much rock back to back to back on Friday and the Strokes being billed #4 makes it logical that they'd get the biggest, non headlining slot (that isn't in the boom boom tent)

Drake bombed at Coachella. Took an L. Even he admits it. Nice to finally meet a member of the #drakehive though. Want to tell me how you don't care that he doesn't write his own raps?
FFS we agree on something. This means Meek Mill to headline Pre-party /w Nikki Minaj
Played two hour-long sets last night. My new Cort Custom M plays fantastic. A lot of Stones, Petty, Skynyrd. What are some upbeat three chord acoustic songs that are current and you might hear at HOMF? Wanting to play some newer tunes, but most seem impossible to play without accompanying band.
Thanks Sarah and Chicknsaw for policing the thread. I needed last night. Mucho-mas chilled today. Lineup-whatever as long as its on the beach and my new 2015 HOMF friends are there.

New Pornos play without Dan Bejar all the time. More often than not, I think.

Ahhh, my bad, I didn't realize that. Thank you for the knowledge
A lot of performers tossed out there in mock lineups. Wish we could quantify interest. I would love to see (Bold most likely of my favorites):
Friday night - either , 1) The Cure, 2) Muse, 3) Radiohead, Mumford and Sons, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys (Alternative Night) Saturday night - either 1) Pearl Jam, 2) Metallica, 3) Royal Blood, Incubus, (Rock Night) Sunday night - either 1) Fleetwood Mac, 2) Santana , 3) Dead-lite, Jimmy Buffett, Coldplay, John Mellencamp, Prince or John Legend (again) (Classics night)
I think the Boom Boom tent gets solid EDM, hip hop, acts. The folk/songwriters are sprinkled around Palladia and other stages or play earlier in the day. My three favorite discoveries over the years at HOMF were 1) Amos Lee...by far and would go see him over and over again, 2) Jason Isbell...turned on a lot of friends to Jason, 3) OCMS...always wanted to get to one of their shows and HOMF made it happen and 4) Delta Rae. I hope HOMF can continue to put new acts like this on their stages.
Next discovery is Tedeschi-Trucks Band. Saw them in Chattanooga but the venue was meh...a sunset gig on the beach (Palladia) would be awesome.
Well, getting to football season (Hall of Fame kicks off tonight), then winter, then spring...then Hangout!

Just saw TTB at their last show on the Wheels of Soul tour and it was amazing. The encore was Sharon Jones and crew plus a guy dressed up as Elvis. Top notch the whole night and really hope they are billed for Hangout 2016. Grace Potter also killed it the week prior. She sure has the moves of a FemBot from Austin Powers.

We go to a lot of the same shows. TTB was awesome. The front of stage area was packed. Some big dude jumped the fence and dropped a brand new female TTB shirt at my feet. He then got caught, thrown out and ticketed. Bad night for that guy but Shell got a TTB shirt out of it. I was super impressed with Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings. The people I went with didn't know any of the bands and we raving about Sharon. I'd be down for either of them on the beach. It's not the usual hippy show. Shell liked it and she doesn't like any of my music.
I luuuuuv Susan Tedeschi's voice and Derek's slide guitar. They have an amazing band. I love the blues and relish any blues musicians that play Hangout. I would like to hear Sharon. I read an article today giving McCartney and Metallica a big thumbs up for their Lolla performances. I'd freak out if Hangout signed them. Heck...give up some of the shows during the heat of day so we can DJ and chill on the beach and load up on top performers after sundown. Agree?

Nice mock!
Friday: RTJ > Band of Horses > Tame Impala > The Strokes > Muse Saturday: Grace Potter > Cage the Elephant > THE DISMEMBERMENT PLAN!!! > Wilco > *break* > Arcade Fire Sunday: Joan Jett > Of Monsters and Men > St. Paul & the Broken Bones > The Boss for 3.5 hours?? Whaaaaaaat?
Friday - whoever we could afford then Chris Cornell playing for an hour and morphing into a huge Pearl Jam jam Saturday - whoever we could afford then Lindsey Buckingham for about 45 minutes then Stevie Knicks for vintage Buckingham-Knicks and then Mick and the McVies joing in for a couple hours of Fleetwood Mac Sunday - whoever we could afford then Tedeschi Trucks with Warren Haynes joining in then Greg Allman and Dickey Betts closing with an hour or two of Allman Brothers hits.
Or...Stones Joined by McCartney, Metallica and Muse, Jack White and David Bowie....I would love to see Hangout just sell out for three massive four hour evening shows in a row with big time performers doing reunions or Seattle Sets or something. Hey...it is free to dream. I paid over $200 for a Stones ticket in HOT and HUMID Nissan Stadium. I'd gladly pay $200 for a three night show with Chris/Pearl Jam, Fleetwood Mac, and some form of the Allmans Brothers Band. Spend the rest of my vacation sleeping in, at the beach or pool.
