Not a fan of the other two headliners (though I rarely go to festivals based on headliners) but seeing Ozzy with that lineup on Halloween in New Orleans is something you can tell your grand kids. I don't care what type of music you like (I lean towards straight up rock ie. Pearl Jam), Ozzy is an icon.
I feel the opposite on the EDM. I really, really don't like most house, and the card is full of fn house. Give me the trap, the dub, some underground or some chill. But they stacked tons of house. I personally enjoyed Jack U at Hangout. I dug that show a lot, but I know it's just Skrillex and Diplo bringing hype. I guess Destructo might be good and Salva. I always dig Quickie Mart. But then Jauz, Alesso, Deadmau5, etc. bah. I guess I will have to dig around the under card a bit where there will hopefully be some okay stuff. I don't see Barely Alive or Lindsay Lowend or GRiZ or many of the afternoon edm sets I want to see.
There is also a lot of weak undercard to me. But I like Here Come the Mummies, and I like Fantastic Negrito as well. Overall I'm dropping the lineup to a 6, but if scheduling works out (outside of Florence vs Jack U), I could have 3 solid 8 days. Time will tell. I also agree they need more rap. No doubt a few more acts will be joining the ritual, and I would put money that at least a couple will be rappers.
[Saturday looks weak...]
I disagree Krisp. . Ozzy Superjam, Jane's Addiction, Clutch, Lettuce, Terrence Blanchared and the E Collective, Fantastic Negrita, Mike Dillon's punk percussion. I'm good with it.
It's always worth that 100 presale. also agree on Friday. Florence just replaced FF at Glastonbury, so they are a legit Headliner. I'll probably split the set vs Jack U, but that's going to be a good day. Lol at the plethora of e-hate out there for the lineup, but there is a lot of good shit to see.
I have a few questions about this fest. 1. How long out ahead of it do they actually sale 1 day passes? Also are there usually one day vip passes? Finally, do you think Jane's addiction would be on the same stage ahead of The Ozzy show or conflict? Thanks in advance.

Janes Addiction will 100% be on the same stage and not conflict. There's only two big stages and one is exclusively EDM. The other 2 are way too small for Janes Addiction.
I just assumed it would be Brad Wilk from RATM (also on Black Sabbath's last album) but only really Rage fans would no his name hence no top billing? That being said, Brad is sick!

Day passes happen about a month out. They're expensive and get more expensive per day during the fest. No VIP day passes. VIP will be $650 by the time the cubes drop. But now if you are considering it and do the weekend GA. Worst case you sell it and get some money back on Sunday.
Also the fact that Sunday will likely be Eric Prydz > Deadmau5 on Le Plur has me super stoked for another b2b set.
Pretty sure they're not on b2b terms anymore. Deadmau5 attempted to reach out to Prydz to plan the HDoD set beforehand, but Prydz didn't seem privy on coordinating the set.
