very surprised not to see ODESZA on there. and yelawolf is disappointing
They played everything else though. I saw pieces parts of 3 sets but maybe my favorite was when Odesza came out with Adventure Club at Hangout. I think you said you saw a piece of that show at Buku, right? As for Yellawolf, one of my people and his gf are going see him Sunday. One of my kids countered that he over reps Alabama. I'll try to give him a listen at Voodoo and see for myself. But then again, somebody told me that the newer stuff slants toward country or Southern.
Oh and early morning line on top 10 shows of the weekend:
1. Ozzy Superjam 2 . Jane's Addiction 3. Florence and the Machine 4. Jack U 5. Chance the Rapper 6. Lettuce 7. Fishbone 8. Slightly Stoopid 9. Clutch T. Frank Turner & Sleeping Souls or Here Come the Mummies
yea i saw odesaza at buku! and then at hangout! definitely would not mind seeing them again. my top acts are looking like Florence, Chance, Modest Mouse, Mija, Joey Bada$$ w/ soul rebels, Lettuce, bro safari, jack u, Girl Talk, and Giorgio. They've gotta be adding more though i hope. cause revivalists arent on there

My top ten would be:
-Ozzy with Slash and Tom Morello -Duke Dumont -Modest Mouse -Joey Badass and the Rebels -deadmau5 -Django Django -Chance The Rapper -Eric Prydz -Mija -Hundred Waters
Jack ü deadmau5 Duke Dumont Chance the rapper Santigold Modest mouse Yelawolf FLORENCE Elliphant Joywave
I had about 5 people stop by the house last night after Yelawolf, and they all said it was pretty great. I watched some video on phone, and yeah there was some "USA! USA! USA!" chanting, but it wasn't terrible. The live band sounded pretty good though they (something casino) apparently opened up and weren't that great by themselves but supposedly were great backing Yelawolf. Also I was told the DJ actually spins which is cool. I don't know Elliphant, so I'll have to check her out. I'm still laughing at all the hate the lineup is generating out there: "Worse lineup ever!" "This lineup is turible" "There is only one act I want to see (correction, that you know)" "I'm so glad I'm not spending my money (all $100 for the presale, right?) on this dismal fest (except you live in Alaska and weren't going to come anyway). Hahahaha. F them. There is enough even if it's not anywhere near my favorite Voodoo lineup of the last few years. I think what a lot of people forget is that since it's limited to 4 stages at this point, you're only going to have about 25-30 acts per day. So the lineup isn't going to be a Jazzfest, Bonnaroo or ACL Fest number of acts. It's going to be roughly half that (ish).

every year people shit all over the voodoo lineup, and every year there are tons of people there having a blast. I can only assume Voodoo is profitable or otherwise they wouldn't keep doing it. I've had my qualms with Voodoo over the years but the bottom line is it is a great value for the money, at least in terms of the ticket price, especially if you do the presale.
at this point i'm waiting to see what hulaween has to announce today before I make a decision.
UGH! Tool AND Primus at Monster Mash in Tempe, AZ on Halloween.
Hulaween got Primus as well so they have to be flying, no way they drive from Arizona to f'n SOSMP in one day.
I guess if they are flying maybe they could get added to Voodoo. Highly unlikely.
Voodoo blew it. This Monster Mash lineup kills, even though it's super small. (like early Voodoo lineups) Maybe next year they won't fuck around since they have real compeition now.
I think not nearly as many people are gonna come from the West Coast this year bc Monster Mash would be way easier to go to.

Hula is where it's at for Halloween fests in the southeast this year. Camping, Spirit of Suwanee, cool art installations, and a really solid lineup to boot.

is TOOL supposed to be confirmed and just not announced yet?

Nice. I think Maynard lives in Arizona, so that should be easy for them. It also bodes well for 2016. Radio DJ last week was saying he's hearing release date in February.

I hope so but I'm not holding my breath considering how much they like to troll their army of fanboys.
As long as NOLA gets a Tool show when they hit the road again my butt won't be quite as hurt.
Longinus is prob backing out of Voodoo and going to this. We have friends in Tempe so that makes it way easy.

This is exactly it right here. Maynard lives in Arizona. The album isn't done yet. Maybe this will be a kickoff for them to start touring? I think that Voodoo dropped the ball on not getting Faith No More, whom I had heard were in the works awhile back. I am wondering if Matt Patton wanted Halloween night and that wasn't possible. Maybe they are still working on getting them and they will be added on Friday? Just that one add, would make this lineup awesome for me. Either way, I will have a blast with my $99 GA ticket.
Not sure if Imma do the Tempe fest yet, but if not I'll do Hullaween. So either way I am backing out of Voodoo. If anyone is interested in my LOA and parking pass, let me know. I paid $462 and change. Think it's $489 and change now, but is about to go up tomorrow to $500+. Willing to sell them to someone here for $450.

*$650+
That is such a ripoff, good thing presale is so good of a deal. Did the parking go up too? I know that they went up from last year's $50 but I thought it was to $70, its $75? I guess what is $5 at that point?
Parking didn't change. LOA went up from $400 to $500.
The best deals were a couple of years ago when you could get a LOA during christmas sale for $250. I didn't save anything by buying early instead of after lineup this year except $27. never again. I had assumed they would raise the price more after lineup or for LOA in general last year after the issues last year with over selling it.

I thought that LOA was $350, when did it go up to $400? It was $300 last year for presale and yes $250 the year or two years before that. It's crazy how much they jack up that LOA ticket price. Riot Fest VIP is $300 regular price...Plus, Voodoo has really fucked over LOA buyers since you do not get that many perks anymore. The front row viewing on the main stage last year was half of what it was in previous years. So glad that I just did GA this year. And side note, remember when GA was only $75 for presale a few years ago?
EDIT: Parking was $50 last year, so it went up this year to $75.
Yeahurite, it was $350. $350 + parking + fees = $462.16 I think they increased LOA parking from $50 to $75 since December and that was the only difference. Then today they added fucking $150 to total for a LOA ticket.

To be fair, it was only $99+dick fees this year to about $109 or something close to that. GA pre-sale is a good value buy considering it's 3 days for just over the cost of ordinary shows like Deftones/Incubus. As long as they keep the total dollar of the 3 day weekend to < $150.00, I'm good with it because I know I will easily get my money's worth.
