I originally heard it as both were unopposed. But I can't see how that's accurate. For what it's worth, deadmau5 is listed above Kendrick on both the poster and website. He's a little more likely to be unopposed.
with him being higher not sure if they'd put him later as to be more of a "prime" spot. i just don't really seeing it go mau5 then kendrick, but what the fuck do i know
I originally heard it as Kendrick followed by Mau5, both unopposed...We'll see!

idk the details of the stevie wonder/jay-z scheduling thing. didn't they kind of co-headline as well? were the both unopposed?
also, i realize that mau5 is a little diff from jay or stevie

Jay Z ran into some other late nights, notably Thievery Corp. I'll continue to defend deadmau5. Yeah, his music isn't the greatest in the world, but he produces a signature sound that's different from all the cheesy crap out in the electronic world. I'm assuming he'll have his new production, hopefully not his cube for the millionth time.

hoping for new production as well. it's almost a must at this point. saw him with that cube back in 2010

I cannot see Mau5 being unopposed. I hope not at least. I really don't like his music as I find it insanely boring. However live is ALWAYS different for EDM. I have heard praises for his show so will check it out. But I'd like to be able to go see someone else if I get bored. Otherwise I guess that is 2 straight sets I get to sleep to prepare for the night.

that's why i think unopposed. they need to give other options for the non-edm people i'd have to think

I slept during Kanye last year (happily) and heard that his crowed was kind of small and a lot of people went back to camp for him. I think that would happen to Mau5 too. He is big enough for the which stage but only 40k or a little more people. He couldn't pull the whole amount.

kendrick will have opposition during the first portion of his set and deadmau5 will have opposition during the latter half.

This is kind of how I see things working out. I think the other late nights will start at some point during Mau5, like they did for Jay Z, if I'm not mistaken.

Ohhh man. I can't wait to have me some Deadmau5. I haven't seen a really good house show since Kaskade at Roo last year. Deadmau5 does house music right. I'm going to be a dancing fool during this set.
Correct, the Mau5 is mainly house, but if you heard his latest album....um, yeah. Kinda like an experimental album, because he can.
I am super pumped for Deadmau5 and that fact that he is going to be the first true EDM headliner in Roo history!
A Deadmau5 show on the main stage...what could be better?
I do think he gets the traditional unopposed headliner spot on Friday, but as mentioned above, will probably not finish before the late nights start up.
Mau5 on Friday, Bassnectar on Sat. Yes please X 2!
Seen Joel twice, at Ultra in 2013 and NYE last year and each so was completely different. Honestly one of the best shows I've ever seen was his Ultra set. He just takes you on this magical journey and then ends it with Strobe which is perfect.

I just dont think there would be a chance he wouldn't bring the new set up. It's a total crap shoot but if you are going to go on this big new world tour and not doing any EDM festivals. I would think it would be a good idea to unleash the new set up (assuming it's something an actual festival could fit) on a summer festival to try it out and also work up word-of-mouth/social-media buzz
The newer "Testpilot" stuff has my ear. I really enjoyed how he worked the testpilot stuff into the last Ultra set. He weaved it really well into the more uplifting vocal progressive house. That "a little of this, a little of that" really made the set work. If he brings that for Roo, it's going to be a raw evening of ass shaking.
Personally, I'm a purist for DJ sets. Stage shows bore the shit out of me. I'm not supposed to be looking at the DJ, I'm supposed to be dancing. When these guys started building spaceships to DJ out of, I was like (???). Some good visuals in the background ala Bassnectar, sure. Even the Pretty Lights stuff is a cool light show, but outside of the Shadowsphere (which basically hid the guy) these big pedestals are the "red sports car" of DJ culture. Give me Jeff Mills, 6 turntables in a dark room with a strobe light any day over that stuff.

Ideally yes, if we could just get a Sahara Tent like at Coachella it would be the absolute best. If Mau5 brings the big stage I'm ok with it because I feel like he did it first but overall I would prefer the low key "just let the music do the talking" style sets

old news. its been known he's been working on a huge new production for almost a year now. all these dumb edm blogs are just using the govball ama to get more site hits.

yes, i know it's old news and that he's been working on it for a long time. just nice to basically have a physical confirmation
