I feel like he's much much bigger than the token Hispanic bands they book every year, but maybe I'm imagining that. Either way I'd fuck with it.
Am I the only one not too impressed with this lineup? The second lines are good but totally unrealistic based on the last two years, and there's a lot of shit they missed this year that has no chance of getting booked next year.

Well, of course it's unrealistic.
What in there do you think has "no chance" of getting booked next year? The only one I can immediately identify is Sufjan, who I can't imagine playing a huge festival like Coachella, and who will likely be done touring.
If Sleater-Kinney was happening, it would have happened this year. No chance Jamiriquai happens, sadly. I hope Chemical Brothers is there, but it's basically expected at this point so not too much fun to put on a mock. Walk the Moon was this year's flavor of the month, and will be both shitty AND old news next year. Don't see Bloc Party on the second line after Kele's empty 1pm tent set this year. Not getting Jai Paul, FFS is doing a fair sized fall US tour, so don't see them doing US fests next summer. No chance on Sun Kil Moon.
It's not terrible by any stretch, but there are a bunch of obvious problems.

Obviously I didn't actually attend his set, but the general logic remains. I don't think Bloc Party would be a particularly likely or exciting booking.
“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.” - Hunter Thompson
1. The Monroe Palm Springs. 2. Doesn't matter to me as long as its not Dave Maynar.
(Also, if me and CPK can get tickets at the general on sale, we may be interested.)
There are usually pretty good deals on tix on the phx Craigslist around April. Especially for weekend 2. Last year there were some going for about $200+camping between weekend 1 and 2.
I believe it crossed over from the Bonnaroo headlining thread. Launchpad and someone else were talking about how Coachella got an insanely large headliner.
