We stayed farther away than Palm Springs this year and the commute wasn't bad at all (and there's also a Palm Springs shuttle stop, if you're going that route). Plus they're offering you shit even if you cancel, at least they're trying to make it right.
If I had that reservation, and it was a good deal, I would definitely keep it.
