I was 90% sure I wouldn't be going next year, but had two reservations just in case... Them changing the dates basically makes "back up plans" too complicated now, so I won't be buying at pre-sale for the first time in manyyyyyy years.
Along with the motel I have an airbnb house that I've contacted the hosts about switching weekends for. If that swap is approved I'll gladly give away the rodeway inn motel room to someone else for weekend one.

Ugh I normally stay away from AirBNB just because I hate paying up front. That's why I love booking.com. Free cancellation and typically never a deposit required.
Can't do AirBnB until I'm 100% going which I won't know til after the lineup drop. But I will gladly sleep on the floor of someone's motel room. I don't fart much.

Almost all of the airbnb places have full refund policies, just sayin

I'm a bit sad now.
And I'm actually doing presale this year and getting on the payment plan. My little brother is going too since he lives in Santa Barbara. It'll be his first festival. We're really never going to get to meet, are we?
I'm not doing the presale but I would like to reserve my spot on the list of Infooers looking for tickets if any of you guys happen to be selling after the lineup drops.

Interesting to see this stated in a billboard interview, guess there has always been a great deal of truth to it - also means there's a date out there every year that coachella will have to announce it's lineup by (which is presumable getting sooner and sooner):
"There was a flood of festival lineup announcements at the beginning of 2015. Gov Ball announced one day after Coachella in early January. Was that a coincidence or was there a strategy behind it?
Wolowitz: Here’s the thing. A lot of festival promoters in the states are ready to announce their lineups very early. But Coachella has a clause in their contract that says they have to be the first contemporary festival to announce in the United States. They hold artists to that and a lot of festivals besides Coachella have acts that are playing Coachella. Sometimes you’ve got to get in line for certain reasons. That is the reason.
So you knew that Coachella was going to announce the day before you did?
Wolowitz: We knew that they had up until a certain particular day to announce their lineup before anyone else. Once they did, then everyone else was free to go up. Our lineup was ready to go. We just had to wait until they announced, along with every other festival you saw announce in January."

It's not looking good, is it?!
You're going to give me a complex. Kinda like has....

Oh it'll happen! You'll be going to school in Austin, right? CPK and I have kicked around going to one of the fests out that way in the near future.
I am! I'll be going to both ACL & FFF if you're looking into either of those. I wish FYF wasn't so close to when I move or I'd be trying to make that happen.
Hey, they don't actually check that your camping pass matches the ticket it was purchased with, correct?
They didn't last time I camped, in 2013. I can't even imagine a scenario where they would be able to check that, honestly. And if they could, can you imagine the clusterfuck it would cause? Especially for groups of people who are scattered about in multiple cars. If you have a camping pass and everyone in your car has wristbands, I would be 100% confident about getting in.
