I'm actually glad this is being brought to court. Payment plans are great, but it seems pretty low for a festival to pocket money from people like that.

Looks like the lawsuit already had an impact. New terms for payment plan with FYF... Charges a $25 "restocking" fee instead of foreiture of all your payments.
I'd love to go to Coachella as it normally boasts the best lineup for my tastes. I just had a few questions that I posted elsewhere that didn't get answered. Any help is appreciated.
Why don't they allow beer out of the gardens at Coachella and how big of a deal does it end up being?
Also, what is the VIP experience like at Coachella?
Media experience?
Beer: Don't know, but not that big of a deal. There are perks (you and everyone else are less drunk and can enjoy the day more), and most of the stages have a beer garden you can view them from.
VIP: Everything I've heard is that VIP is not worth it at all.
Dunno about media either, except that most people don't find out if they got credentials until the last minute.

The beer gardens make for cleaner grounds for one thing (it probably also helps with minors to keep the alcohol confined to certain areas).
It's really not an inconvenience at all. The lines are short and the gardens are close to stages so you can still hear and sometimes even see the show.

I actually ventured into the beer garden between the Main and Outdoor stages this year and was pleasantly surprised how well the proximity and view of the Outdoor Stage was. I watched a few shows there while enjoying a buzz and having quick access to a bathroom.
The beer garden was not really a big deal for me but I don't drink much. My only disappointment was the lack of beer options outside of the Craft Beer garden. I actually really liked that the gardens had their own bathrooms. They also had air conditioned bathroom trailers (like Bonnaroo VIP has) but I foolishly assumed they were for high-rollers or VIPers and didn't learn they were for everyone until Sunday.

I attempted to go use the bathrooms beside the Sahara tent at one point and there was LITERALLY a line of people waiting just to piss BESIDE the portos on the grass.
Birthday is on the first day of weekend one, but my funds are tight at the moment. Weekend one completely sells out during the pre-sale, right?
If I remember right, they sell out during the presale then sell off whatever orders cancelled during the regular on sale. They always have a payment plan.

Gotcha. The payment plan is nice, but it wouldn't be too smart of me to just jump right in and assume I'd be able to go next year. We shall see...

The nice thing about Coachella tickets (especially weekend one) is that you can resell them for face pretty easily given that you don't wait until the last minute to sell.

That's what I did this past year. So...may just try it again anyway. We'll see.
