7, it looks like we'll be getting some additions this year and it could be an 8 or possibly 9 depending on the adds plus superjam. Hoping for Primus, Tame Impala, or Weezer
7. I feel like every single person that I'm excited about I've seen multiple times. Billy Joel, Mumford and Sons, My Morning Jacket, Alabama Shakes, Florence and the Machine,Robert Plant. Still excited to see them thought. I haven't seem some of them live in a while. I was just hoping for someone huge that I could check off of my "bucket list"

8 for me, the last few years have been great headliner wise so I'm ok with a down HL year. The mid to lower card is stupid stacked, never thought I'd see Between the Buried and Me on the farm and The Districts will be a breakout 2015 act. If we can get The Word as an add to go with Medeski, Scofield, Martin and Wood my jam quota will be fulfilled and bump this up to a 9 or 10

This is my least favorite since my first roo in '10. I go for the atmosphere more then anything though. Good music is just a plus. Will have to wait for additions to raise vote anymore though.

I'm giving it an extremely generous 6 IMO. I've never been more "meh" about ALL the headliners. My rating will plummet if neither Slayer nor Flying Lotus get a late night spot OR if those bastards at AC make them a schedule conflict. I'm seriously worried about that. There are some bands that I'm very excited to see that I've never seen before like STS9, Run The Jewels and MMJ (I can't believe I've never seen them yet) but considering the price hike I was really expecting more, especially from the headliners. So 6 for now and we'll see what happens in the next round of announcements. My fingers are crossed for Primus.

1000th post!
I've been attending since 2006 so this will make my 10th consecutive appearance and because of this significance I bought tickets in the presale for the first time. I usually wait for the lineup to drop and use that enthusiasm to drive the money commitment but this year had built in excitement for the milestone. That said I would not be buying a ticket based on the announced artists.
This looks to me like a midsize fest lineup where you debate going to a single or two days, though even then you expect there to be one really compelling headliner to help you choose that day. When the presale happened we were all expecting huge acts due to the price hike. Given the other lineup drops this week and rumors/leaked first line I had my expectations tempered and wasn't expecting big things but my only excitement from the actual announcement were Slayer & Flying Lotus which are draws but nothing too insanely exciting for me. They did a good enough job booking young acts and I am very much looking to a fair number of them but those are the same groups that tour heavily and for modest-to-moderate cost so I feel like I could have caught all of them in the next couple years anyways without having to travel too far and for about $20-$30 a pop. The only act on the lineup that I personally would give legend status to is Robert Plant though I've already seen him at roo twice previously and while I find his sets enjoyable they certainly aren't mind-blowing affairs.
Last year I saw 20 acts over 3 days and it was too much honestly. The entire weekend was a whirlwind with 3 and 4 act conflicts at a couple points during the weekend and the whole thing flew by way too quickly. I'm looking forward to attending this year to appreciate the experience in a different way; to reflect back over all those past bonnaroo memories & do more things I haven't found time to in the last couple years. In the end I know I'll still have some great musical experiences and come home with some fresh Bonnaroo memories.

7 for me. I feel that this lineup is bottom heavy, which is fine but Id like my money to go for a few big acts Id like to see. Deadmau5 and Kendrick on the What stage should be awesome, though,
Gave it a 7. Probably a 6 for me, but had to add a bonus point because some of the bands I don't care for are actually going to make more of my friends want to go.

Joel will be a fun singalong on Sunday. Mumford I'll probably skip. Kendrick on the main stage makes me happy.
Then the lineup that speaks to me is (bold = top acts):
Florence + The Machine Robert Plant My Morning Jacket Alabama Shakes Childish Gambino Slayer Ben Harper & Innocent Criminals Spoon The War on Drugs STS9 Ben Folds Superjam! Atmosphere Atomic Bomb Tears for Fears Bluegrass Situation Superjam Gary Clark Jr. Punch Brothers MSMW Run The Jewels Dawes Tramples By Turtles Sturgill Simpson Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn Jerry Douglas Presents Earls of Leicester Mac Demarco Benjamin Booker Houndmouth Hurray For The Riff Raff Pokey Lafarge Strand of Oaks Gregory Alan Isakov
That's a solid lineup for me. And this is before we know comedy, Superjam participants, additions, and cafe acts. I gave it a 7 overall.
There is 21 acts I'd like to see there, last year was 43. That's a massive fall, but if you get to see 16/17 of those, it'd be amazing. If it falls badly, you might see 12.
I'll rate it a 6.
It's a wonderful festival regardless, but personally I part with my hard earned to see bands, the other fun is an added bonus.

I gave it a 6. There's a lot of bands on there that I don't really know, so this could go up or down. Really can't believe they didn't get Modest Mouse, TVotR, Tame Impala, etc. And I feel like hoping for them in the additions is a real long shot.

I gave it a 6. Of the artists I want to see, the only ones I have seen already are Twenty One Pilots, which means lots of firsts for me this Roo, which is good. I would have given it a higher rating if there were about 10-15 more artists sprinkled in the top 8 lines.
2014:
April 05 - Twenty One Pilots
May 15 - Lana Del Rey
May 30 - Why?
June 12-15 - Roo '14
June 24 - Arctic Monkeys
September 05 - Twenty One Pilots
September 23 - Lorde
September 26 - Why?
This is such a bad lineup that this might be the first time I go and enjoy the festival like the average bro would (as a summer "spring" break where I stumble into Centeroo at 6 oclock).
I can't believe you guys are giving this thing a 7 and an 8. The lineup overshoots at every level. We're missing 1 headliner. Flume in the Top 15? Brandi Carlile, Flying Lotus, and Gary Clark Jr. all Top 30? Some of the acts at the bottom of the lineup seem better suited as cafe acts. I don't even want to tally up how many of these acts are repeats from the last 4 years of the festival; including 2 of the 4 headliners! (which is fine and all, but not really when there are acts like Lana, Hot Chip, Beck, DFA79, Drake, Noel Gallagher, and Ryan Adams touring in the US in June).
That being said, there are still some good acts on the lineup. And if this is your first or second Bonnaroo a lot of these acts have not been checked off of your bucket list. So I see why people may be blinded.

I gave it a 5 as it currently stands.
I will have a blast as always. Down years are good from the standpoint of no rush, and relaxation.
If the additions are great, I could bump this up to a 6 or 7.
Headliners don't inspire me. I really am not a Mumford fan, I'll see Billy Joel just to say I have. I hope and pray that deadmau5 turns into a 80k dance party.
I want to see Atomic Bomb who.... tears for fears, Robert Plant, Hozier, several others.
As I've stated though, Bonnaroo doesn't get a pass on a "mid" festival lineup. Its should be one of, if not the best every single year just because of its long run and name alone. Take into account the price hike, we deserve much better.

4. I saw Robert Plant and EW&F almost 20 years ago, they should be good. Seen Ben Harper. I've seen MMJ, MM&W, and David Byrne (if he show w Atomic Bomb!) at Bonnaroo '04. Slayer and Bela Fleck are legends I haven't seen yet. Billy Joel and Mumford strike me as NOLA Jazzfest headliners at say 5:30-7 pm. Solid EDM. Nothing that screams "TAKE MY MONEY NOW!" The band's I'm looking forward to will likely be mainstays of the festival circuit for years if not decades. That said, Bonnaroo is awesome even when the lineup isn't. I can't go every year because of the massive tistances and extensive travel times involved, so it's ok w me.
I'm giving it a 7 right now. There's nothing that I'm really freaking out about too much, but there's plenty that I want to see and am really looking forward to.
-Robert Plant -MMJ -Alabama Shakes -Childish Gambino -Slayer -Atmostphere -TEARS FOR FEARS!!!!! -EWF -Run the Jewels -Sylvan Esso -Jamie XX -Against Me! -Tycho -Glass Animals -Strand of Oaks -Between the Buried and Me -Pallbearer
So, plenty to see. Nothing to freak about. Just Tears for Fears, and that's because I've loved them for a really long time. My girlfriend is pretty disappointed with the lineup, though. Hopefully the unannounced superjam is pretty cool.
You don't even know what genre this superjam is nor who will be leading it, but its already a top act?
For Bonnaroo standards, I give this lineup a 4. IMO it's the weakest lineup since 2010. The top 5 is very underwhelming, and I don't see much from 6-25 to get excited about (for my cup of tea at least). My favorite two acts on the lineup seem to be playing everywhere this summer (MMJ and Run the Jewel).
Just a lot of artists they could have grabbed but didn't that seem to be playing this summer: Ratatat, Weezer, Tame Impala, Noel Gallagher, Alt-J, Future Islands, St. Vincent, etc.
I feel like had this lineup been released two years ago, a lot of you guys bashing it now would have been salivating over it.
I'd be completely confused if War on Drugs, Flume, Alabama Shakes, etc. were that high on the lineup two years ago.
Actually I'd be less surprised at Shakes then than now since they would had just recently put their only album out, but I'd be like, "WTF is Kendrick doing headlining Bonnaroo?"
