Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Yeah, but we've established pretty conclusively that you have shit for brains. Just because your epically narrow taste fits perfectly with Bonnaroo's paint-by-numbers lineup doesn't really mean anything.
You think the three most talented people in the poll are Elton, Billy Joel, and JT. Typical.
Like I said, it's just MY opinion. Elton John and Billy Joel are amazing performers. Billy Joel is one of the greatest singer/ song writers of all time. He's the third best selling solo artists in the US. The man has done it all. His accolades eclipse Beyoncé's by far, and Elton John trumps his. JT is an amazing performer/artist, the guy can do it all. Honestly, although he might be the worlds largest douche bag, Beiber is a more talented musician than Beyoncé. She lip syncs and doesn't even write her own songs, what makes her so great? If it wasn't for her husband she wouldn't even be a blip on the map. She's decent but not legendary like Billy and Elton.
Quick questions... who the hell goes to bonnaroo to hear "vocalists"? Lady Gaga having a castle on the stage? Are we talking about the same fest?
Only a few of the artists on this list have a shot at headlining and Beyoncé nor Adele are either of them for Christ sake. The only two I could see being the actual headliners would be Elton and JT, although I don't even think JT could pull it off without help from a Jay-Z type.
How could Beyonce's hips do anything but enhance Bonnaroo?
They're much too child-bearing for any stage on the farm. She needs to get those hips to a tent or smaller stage where I can make it rain all over the stage with dolla bills, yo.

Have you seen Sherman call out Skip Bayless? It's great
Yes, it was great. I'm a fan of Skip but he asks for it, a lot. I'm surprised more people don't give him the business. On the other hand I can't stand his big mouth partner, super annoying fucker.
I usually stick with Remy Martin VSOP, it's pretty damn good. I've had Remy Martin Louis XIII once, at the time it was $100 a shot. Even though it was good VSOP is not bad.
Has Bonnaroo ever had a metal band like Meshugga before? A "scream" metal band? I just listened to some of their stuff and this shit blows like most of these Roo clues.
1. Rock N Soul superjam - Roo 2. Macca - Roo 3. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros - Gentlemen of the Road Stopover, Troy Ohio 4. MMJ, Wilco, Bob Dylan - Americanarama, Toyota Park 5. 1. MMJ 2. Atomic Bomb 3. Mumford and Sons 4. Superjam 5. Robert Plant 6. Tears for Fears 7. Billy Joel 8. Slayer 9. Ben Folds 10. Earth Wind and Fire
With the exception of Slayer and Atomic Bomb, that's like a perfect palette of beige.
Or maybe theyre just bands that are harder to see elsewhere so they become more desirable at Roo. Im not into EDM and im not impressed with most of todays hip hop. Im looking forward to Run the Jewels but not really into Kendrick. MMJ is great and It would take somebody like Prince or the Stones to steer me away.
btw, some people actually like popular music. Theres usually a reason for their popularity.
I bet youre the kinda guy that hates anything trendy, which in itself is trendy.

Actually, I'm one of the guys that usually argues for the music most of this forum dismisses as mainstream bullshit.

There's some real quality work in there. Way to go, Beavdog.

I love how you can then turn around and talk about how great Jay-Z is, despite the fact that he'd have every right to beat the crap out of you for talking about his wife like that.

80%+ of general festival goers don't have a super deep taste in music. Most are going for the top 10ish lines and willing to learn about/see some other acts. In terms of all the possible options in music out there Bonnaroo constantly churns out lineups that are quality. To judge people for being lured in by their favorite/popular bands is pretty unfair because they are almost always going to walk away with a few new favorite bands.
Speaking of beige, my favorite commercial of all time.
Assume some people feel this way about the lineup too.

I look at festival lineups as if I've never been. Take away what you know about the ins and outs of a fest, or the fact that you will discover a few bands. Is the poster good? This years lineup sucks overall. The big gets, the surprises, the "holy shit, this poster keeps rolling!" Put this lineup up against any other year since it got huge. I can def make 5 bands a day work from what there is. But past years, I could have went twice to completely different shows before I had to "make anything work". I don't like that Bonnaroo is fucking around like this. Maybe losing the automatic jam headliner was a bad move. Now theyre trying to be an even split of old guy-mainstream-rap/edm. Just focus Bonnaroo.

What I believe ruined this lineup was missing out on ALL of Tame Impala, Alt J, St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, and Ratatat.
All of them seem to be fairly manageable gets this year. I think if you were to add all five of those names it would pump the lineup up 2-3 points on my scale. Adding 2 or 3 of them would have helped greatly. I understand this is a selfish want of a particular 5 bands. I know that Tame, Alt, and St. Vincent have been everywhere recently, but am I wrong to think that almost everybody would have been a lot more excited if these acts were there? I can't Imagine Roo tried and failed on all of them along with others like Hot Chip. I wonder if AC actually thinks they have an awesome lineup, or if they just did all they could and know good and well that it doesn't stack up to the last 5-6 years at least.

I've pretty much given up on these lineup threads. It only took about thirty posts mentioning Tame Impala, Alt J, St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, and Ratatat to realize I don't need to read five hundred posts mentioning Tame Impala, Alt J, St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, and Ratatat.

I know right? Because nobody should be allowed to joke about celebrities, thats just going too far.
Talking about beating people up? I bet you or any of the other buffoons wouldnt talk so much shit in person. Its easy to run your mouths with your condescending bullshit knowing there arent any real consequences.

This sounds an awful lot like a threat. Stay classy indeed.
