Just started listening to The Endless Honeymoon, which is a podcast by married comedian couple Natasha Leggero & Moshe Kasher, and I've burst out laughing multiple times.
Person I know from the facebook premiered their podcast today. Her and her cohost are going through one real life murder and one horror movie an episode. I'm not really a podcast person, but they're pretty excited about it.
ATTN: beebee my voicemail got played on this week's Urgent Care!! I'm the guy asking for help on tricking his family into canceling their Christmas party.

Never listened but I love Joel and Mitra, will have to check this out

They are so, so funny together. They've slowly been losing their minds over the course of the pandemic so that's been fun to track. And my God some of the messy shit the callers bring to the show is amazing.

Welp.....looks like I'm going to be re-watching Interview with the Vampire once again now that this is announced/released:
I basically let podcasts dictate a lot of my movie viewing now haha. I've re-watched the Ninja Turtles originals for the Shaun Diston/Scott Aukerman podcast about talking turtles. I'm up to Nightmare on Elm Street 4 thanks to WIth Gourley and Rust.
And I have a handful of movies on my backlog so I can listen to the How did this get made episodes about them. I used to listen to episodes even if i never saw/heard of the movie but it's always better when you're familiar with it so I've slacked off of HDTGM lately.
It was awesome when I saw it in 2004...no idea how it holds up though. I thought American Beauty was great when I saw it in 1999...now it's terrifying to watch.
I think so. It's a story that spans a few periods of time and has great performances by all the leads. I always remember liking it a bunch and re-watched it a few years ago and didn't think it aged poorly.
It's also cool to see a different type of vampire story. Not just typical vampire storyline. Mostly about Tom Cruise, who turned Brad Pitt into a vampire, trying to lure him over to the dark side and have him embrace his new power and everlasting life. And Brad tries hard to resist over the decades by avoiding drinking blood from people if he can help it.
I think it's worth a watch, for sure. Curious how others feel about it.

I DID. My name + someone else was put in the title and mine was definitely July messing with Mitra and Joel. So that's fun!
the premise for today's hollywood handbook is so good, i'm 100% stealing the idea for someone's birthday.
i actually remembered to follow through on this. my husband's birthday is coming up this weekend, so i poorly stitched together some cameos for people with his (luckily very common) name. a few of them are wishing him a happy anniversary/father's day, but it's so dumb that i like it anyways.
david cross on WTF today was great. marc and david go way back so it was an easy-going and funny conversation.
also i'm glad david cross seems to be doing pretty great mentally and emotionally. i've loved him since his "shut up you fucking baby" stand up CD, but honestly always thought he would devolve into a spiral of depression and alcohol abuse. but now he is married with a 3.5 year old daughter living in brooklyn and generally seems to have his shit together.
We had that CD at the college radio station and I'd always want to play bits from it but I think there was one track that we could play during the daytime and maybe two others that were ok after 10 PM because of FCC regulations on swearing.

Sona from Conan on Hollywood Handbook this week was another corker of an episode. So many funny moments. Caterpillar Credit Union. "Address?". Sergeant Blufus. Sona married Tec from Real World?
Pretty good election rundown on Hollywood Handbook today, I learned a lot
So good. And I have to say that Kevin is getting really good now. He's been hilarious the last few episodes.
When asked if he voted he says yes, because he dressed up like a mailbox and twerkeed. Then, when "Mr. Bill" Will Hines says that he didn't vote the way Kevin responded with "Nooooo.....that's voting." was so influenced by Sean. But made me crack up.
The only thing that sucks about this is I will definitely not be able to tell these guys apart just listening to them. I actually had to purposefully sit down and watch videos of Hayes and Sean talking to know which was which, and they're American.
Also the long-haired one looks like Maddog and it's disturbing.

That's a great running joke about how Hayes and Sean are basically the same person and nobody can tell them apart.
For Aunty Donna i've been watching enough of their videos at this point that I can easily distinguish them. Broden, the bald guy, tends to have am uch deeper voice than the others.
And yeah, for Earwolf podcasts I think if they've got it all ready to go they'll release it after midnight the night before. Maybe so people with early commutes can get their podcast fix?
