Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
He has some awesome intelligent trustworthy high school soccer teammates going and staying in GA. He just found out about his teammates, but before that his intentions were to find a tree to climb in with his ENO. I understand if you guys are not cool with it or do not think it is appropriate. Truth is I need a babysitter/entertainment for my boyfriend while I get my beauty rest. He can stay up all night and I just can't hang ????
This is just one mother's opinion here, but personally the situation doesn't make me very comfortable. You obviously know your son, so know how mature he is, so if you feel he can do his own thing at Bonnaroo, that's awesome. I don't quite think I understand what you're asking of us, though...
Are you asking for your 15 year old to camp with us along with you and your boyfriend? If not, is he coming in with you, then going off to be with his friends for the weekend? As a mom, I also need to ask - have you and/or your son been to Bonnaroo before?
We're pretty welcoming of all kinds of people, however, I don't think anyone wants to end up being a "babysitter" for anyone else. Personally, I also don't want to worry about censoring myself or my activities because there's a minor around, you know?
We are a very open, welcoming group of people but I am also slightly confused by your explanation of your situation GINGER. I think what you're saying is that your son is driving down with you and your boyfriend and has a VIP ticket but found out his friends are going to be in GA, so he wants to stay with them.
I don't want to be this person and draw a line, however, I don't think it is possible to accomodate everyone/every person's circumstances.
The camp group has gotten quite large and after a certain number of people, you have to begin to consider security of people's personal belongings as well as the safety and well being of those around you. None of us are going to a 4-day music festival as adults to feel that we have to "babysit" anyone (although, to be honest, if any of you got sick or needed water or something, my maternal instinct would kick in), or be concerned about whether or not our items could end up broken, stolen, etc. That's the reason we're in VIP (okay, that's the reason I'm in VIP, there's a bit of control over who is walking around your campsite).
I'm not discouraging you from dropping by to say hello or even joining us but your Bonnaroo experience seems like it is going to be a bit difficult to keep up with and I will be honest, speaking completely for myself and no one else, do not find that appealing as an element to the one real vacation I get to take this year. I apologize If that offends you, I don't mean any ill will. I just want to be honest.
I was joking about my boyfriend needing a babysitter LOL. Thanks anyways and hope you all have a great time! Maybe next year
Hey - I'm sorry, I promise I wasn't trying to run you off! I was just trying to understand a bit better what you were asking in regards to your son. Sorry I didn't get the joke - reading meanings behind posts is hard! lol
I sort of just... got really serious. I feel so bad.

I feel like if you are worried about it, I should be worried about it. To be honest, I am planning on letting loose and I don't want to have to worry about anyone/anything when I decide to cake mud on my face and get in touch with my inner caveman whilst squirming around on the ground.

I was on my phone when I asked for a babysitter and my emoji did not carry over, so that was my fault. I just wanted Stephen to have some cool people to hang out with since I'm not an all night kind of girl and the idea of having a big group to help watch out for personal belongings was very appealing.
Bronson's intentions are to hang out with his friends who are and have been awesome role models. They are graduating seniors who have taken my son under their wing. I was asking if everyone would be cool if my son stopped by to get breakfast and a change of clothes, sorry I didn't make that clear. He is very mature, after all I'm raising a man not a heathen child LOL. I am real with my son, he is not sheltered and he knows their are all kinds of people in this world. Not much would surprise him unless everyone was running around naked and doing hard core drugs and if that were the case then you better watch out for the video recording LOL.

No worries, that is why I asked didn't want anyone to feel gypped out of their VACA!!!

Oh okay, so he has a VIP pass, but will be camping in GA? Just logistically, that may be difficult. It's really hard to find specific camps in GA and service can be quite sketchy. I'd suggest he come in with the group he's going to camp with instead of trying to come in to VIP then finding them. Being your first Bonnaroo, know that it can be crazy overwhelming and the best laid plans go to the wayside once you actually get to the farm.

To add on, VIP can come with GA if they want. GA cannot come in with VIP.
And to add on to what some of the other people have said, we have never really censored this group at all. Drinking, smoking of whatever, taking whatever, it's never been an issue because we are all adults in charge of ourselves. There hasn't been nudity but you know I don't think anyone would really care unless someone was being lewd or aggressive. So if that's an environment that you're okay with, then we're okay with you

The solution to preventing video proof of shenanigans is to make sure the person behind the video gets involved. When shenanigans are about...there is NO SPECTATING!
The more the merrier, but ... I dunno ... the thought of being filmed while we hang already feels uncomfortable. But that's just me.. I can adjust to anything.

I tend to agree. We are excited to welcome in as many people as we can, though this is a group that holds its privacy in high regard. I hope you guys don't take it offensively that the group would be hesitant about such an approach. Can you tell us a little bit more about your experiences at roo, festivals, the amount of people in your crew and the intent of the documentary you wish to create?
I appreciate it :-) it'll sort of help to clear any concern

Hey welcome! You are of course welcome to join our group, follow the instructions on p1. You're arriving a few hours before our camp will establish itself on the property, odds are it will require you moving your gear to our site if you wish to camp with us. Where are you coming from? If you dont mind a delay of a couple hours, you will easily be able to convoy and park and party w us :-)

Yeah, it doesn't really do a heck of a lot of good to get in right when the gates open. They don't necessarily put you in the best spots just because you were first in. Sometimes they even fill back to front so you're better waiting a little bit. Of course I consider all this a moot point because the whole VIP campground is right next to the gate and no parking spot is more than a 5 minute walk in to Centeroo. We chose our entry time based on balancing sleep the night before and getting in with enough time to set up and relax before the first shows start.
Hey! After much deliberation, it seems I'm going to be rollin to the Farm solo this year and would love to join Sparklefart (if you'll have me!) This is my second Roo, second VIP. Tainted Opossum, I'll PM you my essentials to see if I qualify to be one of the "cool kids"!! Yay!

Welcome welcome! You've made the right choice and we look forward to making space for you under the sparklefart umbrella! Read through the thread if you haven't already in order to get a feel for the group, and we will get you added into the FB group as soon as I add your PM to the roster
Hey guys, we're a documentary crew that follow children walking around the campsites at Bonnaroo. Can we camp with you?
Well, I did come from r/bonnaroo, so I've been called worse
I was kidding with my post and was poking fun at the previous comments. I'm sorry that wasn't clear.
My brother and I were camped up about a row from you guys last year (our canopy was lit with very bright color changing LEDs at night).
We are regular people with regular jobs that have a good time and require no babysitting. As for bonnaroo and cameras, I'd say I have maybe around 50 pictures from my past 6 Roos, and I'm maybe in 4 of them. Again... sorry for the attempt at humor, I really thought I had something there.
Anyway, thought I would ask if it was cool to join before sending you all my personal info and be like "here take this, we're coming".
We like stuff and we also like things. We have open space, a big tent, and I always bring extra gear. I bring safety stuff. First aid? You know it. Vitamins? You got it. Fresh fruits? Right here buddy. I also bring tasty brews and tasty treats. Sharing is caring, and we like to share. I don't usually cook (space in my car is limited as to a grill and such) but we will bring food, etc. and join in the festivities. I'm a pretty good cook and skilled on the grill. I don't mind helping with that shiz if anyone needs a hand. I am also an outdoorsman and can help you with all your erecting, tying, and staking needs. So... you guys have your tribunal and let me know.
We really just wanted to camp with some similar folk and thought you people seemed cool. That is all. Either way, see you guys on the farm

we are in northern VA. up by DC. Im pretty excited I havent been to a festival like this since woodstock in 1999. We just wanted to avoid traffic and waiting in lines really. SO I have been reading apparently they randomly assign camping from fron to back? Ill ask my concert buddy if she is ok with going a couple hours later , I think it would be great to be in a bigger group .. Ill get back to you with all the info ASAP if we plan on joining in on your camp!

Gonna chime in here. We went in when the VIP gates opened last year and we were only a row ahead of the Inforoo people (that's 4 hours earlier, but only one row ahead). While they do stack from the Centeroo fence back, the best spots actually depend on how close you are to the Centeroo entrances, not how close you are to the fence. I'd rather be by the VIP communal area than anything, but in reality, it seems like a gamble, no matter when you get there.
Just an FYI, they started parking last year at the far end of the fence (the one by the sometimes-open What stage alternate VIP entrance) and move up towards the VIP commune area, then move back.
My inner nerd would like to chart out the camp space? Do we have a count of how many E-Z ups that we will have? Also, I can't remember the depth between vehicles. From what I recall, I thought we had like 30 feet between our front bumper and the back bumper of the car in front of us in 2013. Does this sound correct?
Anyways. please post your if you will be bringing an E-Z up.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
