VIP is purple area by What field. Being near the VIP Courtyard is probably the best place to be, IMO, even though you're a bit farther away from the VIP What entrance. Still good, no matter where you are.

Nooo we have to use those to cover my car! I thought we talked about this :-P
Gonna chime in here. We went in when the VIP gates opened last year and we were only a row ahead of the Inforoo people (that's 4 hours earlier, but only one row ahead). While they do stack from the Centeroo fence back, the best spots actually depend on how close you are to the Centeroo entrances, not how close you are to the fence. I'd rather be by the VIP communal area than anything, but in reality, it seems like a gamble, no matter when you get there.
Just an FYI, they started parking last year at the far end of the fence (the one by the sometimes-open What stage alternate VIP entrance) and move up towards the VIP commune area, then move back.

Sorry about that. If you look at the map krissyjo put up, the side entrance is at the farthest part of VIP (VIP G). The VIP communal area is closest to the Arch and is called the VIP Courtyard. I agree with krissyjo about being closer to the courtyard. Last year I was in VIP G, and I still walked to the Arch every time. The people that check your bags by the arch seem to be more laid back, and could care less what you bring in as long as it isn't glass or drinks. Also, it's the main entrance, so it's always open.

We have 1 10x10, but I also have 3 other smaller ones I can try to bring if anyone needs them (like for covering a car).

My inner nerd would like to chart out the camp space? Do we have a count of how many E-Z ups that we will have? Also, I can't remember the depth between vehicles. From what I recall, I thought we had like 30 feet between our front bumper and the back bumper of the car in front of us in 2013. Does this sound correct?
Anyways. please post your if you will be bringing an E-Z up.
My husband and I would love to join ya'll! My 3rd time at Roo, his 2nd, and both of our firsts at VIP (we had guest passes 2 years ago, which were pretty awesome, but I'm looking forward to VIP!) We're from Murfreesboro, like right up the road from Manchester, so we can meet early! Anything in particular we should bring for the group? Last times I've been to Roo, we sucked at preparing for it, so I'm trying hard to make this year freaking awesome! (Side note: We'd like to be closer to the non-night owl side. lol. We'll try to stay up late, but no guarantees!)

Sparklefart two was a resounding success, one that will surely find it's place in the annals of history.
Sparklefart 3 is already in the works, and it looks to be an eventful third installment of our little collective. With more than twice our original size this year, we are expecting to experience even more growth in 2016. If you'd like to be a part of arguably the most beneficial aspect of VIP, be on the lookout for next years thread and sign up - coming spring 2016 and accounted for by someone besides me :-)
Totally spotted two Sparklefart Unicorns in all their glory at McCartney at Firefly. Even though we didnt stop by (Sparklefart was right at the end of the row we walked by to hit the pisser), it made me happy to know that Roo VIP was with us at Firefly
