Hey everyone, I hope you're all rested and preparing for another exciting weekend on the farm! While there is an email thread continuing among the members from last years sparklefart, I'd like to get an inforoo going for signups and information exchange.
My name is Ben, earned the nickname Dallas Ben last year so I'll keep that going. Our good friend Girion47 organized this last year, and has elected to pass the torch this year. I appreciate everything he and his lady did for our camp last year, and want to continue in that respect in 2015.
Sparklefart began in 2014 with one simple goal. Take the vibes of GA, the community, the spirit, and implant it into a VIP community. Its not easy to get the vibe in VIP, unless you have the proper community. This group is around 20 people, ages ranging from early twenties to early fifties, and is entirely welcoming of any new comers. With sparklefart, you're guaranteed two things: a bond, felt almost immediately, with some great people from all over NA. This bond, in my opinion, is the best I've experienced in my years on the farm. In addition to that, you get a community experience unlike any other. Running into fresh yet familiar faces on the farm is more enjoyable than I thought possible. The other thing you're guaranteed is a unique bonnaroo experience, wherein you enter the farm as strangers and leave as friends. Its a cornerstone of the fest experience, and is often difficult to truly experience without putting yourself out there. With sparklefart, the hard part is over by the time you first say hello to your new friends.
I invite and encourage everyone who wishes to join this community. Sign up below and I'll create a roster. The more, the sparklier!
UPDATE 05/29 - Reminder to get connected via Facebook! PM for details
Please send me a PM with the following info
1. Inforoo Name - Feel free to provide your guests inforoo names if available
2. Real Life Name - I don't want to call you Guest78569 the whole weekend.
3. Phone Number - cell phones preferred as a home number will not help if I need to contact you on your way to Roo (plus how else am I going to send dirty pictures?)
4. Email address - please look for an email confirmation from me
5. Have you actually purchased your tickets yet(in full or started the payment plan)?
6. Will you be driving or riding, who will be in your car? Please also include the names of those who will be coming with you that are not on inforoo. I am looking for a head count and a vehicle count
7. Any requests on who you would like to camp by? If you will be sharing gear with someone and need to be parked by them I will need to know!! Also, last time I did this I had a designated "quiet kids corner". This is for folks who know they don't rage much, if at all, at night and wanted a little tamer atmosphere at camp. Mind you, it is still Bonnaroo, but at least your direct neighbors will be quiet
8. Any details or news that should go in this post. I won't be able to think of everything.
9. Number of Roo's attended. I'd like to get a mix of Pros and newbies in the camping area.
Theme: jurrasic park, cats, dogs, boogie wonderland
Meetup Time:I'd like for us all to meet at 0800 CST(0900 EST) Thursday June 11th If you arrive earlier, I'll like you, maybe even give you a cookie. The caravan will depart the lot at 0830 AM Central. We need to get on the farm before the true heat of the day kicks in and have shade in place. Stragglers will hopefully be able to add on to our row but there are no guarantees. *Upon further consideration, the above times have been revised to reflect an earlier meet up / entrance - please plan accordingly*
Meetup Location:We're going to continue the tradition of meeting in the church parking lot. Considering the amount of sins we plan on indulging in, I like this bit of irony. The place is Red Hill Church of Christ, 2839 Hillsboro Blvd. There is a large parking lot behind it where we can put the groups together and line up for the caravan onto the farm. Since this is private property and they've been kind enough not to kick us out yet, I ask that we please be respectful and not leave any trash behind.
Here it is on The Googles and we will update with pictures once I get some of them on hand.
Total Headcount: 38 Roosters, 4 late arrivals, 2 possible (sweetjane +1) Total Cars: 20
*we are looking at a possibility of up to or more than 2 dozen cars convoying into the festival. With that in mind, we would appreciate everyone doing their absolute best to show up at or before the meetup time. Thanks!*

I'd also like to add that once I have a good idea of how many people will be attending, I'll work with some of the guys who coordinated last year to establish a meeting location for Thursday morning. We met at a church not far from the road to VIP last year, if I can find that address I'll put it here. While my partner in crime won't be joining me this year, I'll do my best to recruit a replacement in time for roo. If not, I'll have a spare VIP ticket and space in my ride coming from Dallas, Texas.
This sounds good to me. I need to talk to my brother, who is going with me. The only issue I may have is that I think I read in last year's thread that everyone met at the church at like 9:00. The VIP campground opens at 7:00. With this being our first 'Roo, we were planning to try to go ahead and get there and get set up, so we could have time to get the lay of the land before it gets crowded and everything gets wild.
We're planning to rent a hotel room Wednesday night so we can be well rested before, and get up and head out early Thursday morning. You can put us down as a maybe, leaning towards probably, at the moment. An earlier meet time would probably help, but likely isn't a deal-breaker. I'll know more once I talk to my brother.
Speaking of Sparklefart, for a funny story, check out my post in the Random Thoughts thread here.

I'm going to go ahead and say my husband and I are in. We both work at breweries, so expect us to be sharing some delicious craft brews. This is our second Bonnaroo and our first time going VIP.
First time at Bonnaroo this year from Lancaster, PA...one farm to the next. Coming down with a few people, however my girl and I are the only ones w vip as of now. Looking to link up with a few new faces and have an awesome weekend and not live like an animal while at it. Would be interested in jumping on board w this group

Dude Louis C.K. made my weekend last year, I had a feeling he may not make it back this year but do please let him know I said hello and that his aroma will be missed in the fart of sparkles that is our community.

Psyche! Your partner in crime will be joining you.
I was just thinking about how to coordinate the church meet up today and I can't remember if a cop or older denizen stopped us and told us we couldn't be on the church property.
Did that actually happen or did I just imagine that?

It did! Some old dan foglebird that didn't even own the property and was seemingly just driving around trying to find non locals to correct. I'll just say what I said last year. "It's okay! I'm a limo driver!"
That church, to me, has to be the meet up destination just based on that experience.

I may have gone on amazon and ordered 80 of the finger lights yesterday. And more el wire. And Sanucks. And a few tapestries. I love Roo prep, especially with all the big investments already made or accounted for

Hello Sparklefart Roosters! My hubs and I are looking forward to experiencing our first Bonnaroo this year. We'd love to join your camp and community! Let's face it... Sparklefart has to be the best camp name I've ever heard! What info would you like from us? And what can we contribute to the groop? Also... How did the name "Sparklefart 2: The Deuce" come about?! Is there an original "Sparklefart"?!

Last year a bunch of us VIP-ers from Inforoo met up at this church to all camp together. We formed an interesting bond with a total of like, 15 of us calling the space around a sparkly unicorn decored flag, rightfully entitled "Camp Sparklefart", home for the days of Bonnaroo 2014. We're all (most of us... unfortunately 3 of the original members won't be able to make it) coming back to do it again this year, hence "The Deuce". I don't remember how the name Sparklefart came up though... anyone remember?

That is such a good question Mango haha I'm not entirely sure? hipvelmrz has nailed it pretty well with the flag that two of the members brought last year featuring a hipster unicorn (leather jacket, skinny jeans, Ray Rays) blowing a sparklefart. The rest, as they say, is history

You left out my wonderful jacket.
Wow I have to admit, I thought I dreamed that jacket up! I hope it will be making a return visit as well, hmm?
I need to start looking at glittery/lighty things to order on Amazon. Coachella snuck up on us and I feel totally unprepared for this weekend. At least we'll get to try out our new tent.

Thanks to Hipvelmrz for this and one more that I'll load up. This is from one end of camp, on the left side starting with the domed screen that has a tiny white shelter attached to it, then the maroon tent down past the green tent on the right. This is pretty much the main and only simple entrance to Sparklefart I, which then extended back maybe 5 additional campsites in and 1 row of campsites over. There was a large central area, though I don't think we took very many picture of it from all angles

With this picture, you can see a bit further into the central part of the campsite, there was a kitchen area which green dome over to the left beside our tent, then a relaxing space that was covered by around 6x2 or maybe 7x2 EZ UPs. I'll try to upload more to get a better range

Aww! These pictures are giving me the feels! This is the majority of our campsite (some to the left cut off) that went in one row of cars. I wish we had taken one in the evening with all the solar lights up! This year we will
I can't believe it's only 2 months away I need to start doing some major research on the smaller bands. I think I have pictures and some videos from last year - let me see if I can upload a video.
Does anyone know if bennyandthejess are going to make it down?

I heard they wouldn't be able to make it down this year
