Will anyone be pre-gaming Bonnaroo with a Nashville show? Is there any possibility the ticket increase & weak headliners signal the Stones will be a surprise headliner on Friday? Let you imaginations run wild right here while we wait for all the official details.

No. Not a chance in hell. They are not about to book them at Vandy, then have them play Bonnaroo two nights later.
I don't think Rolling Stones will be added but just for argument's sake.....Phish played Knoxville two nights before their Friday Bonnaroo headliner set. So it's not unheard of to have a headliner play in Tennessee right before Roo. But then again, Phish is not the Rolling Stones.
I'm totally playing devil's advocate here but Vandy's Stadium isn't that big. I believe it was the smallest stop on U2's 360 tour. LP Field seems like it would be more suited. They could sell expensive tickets in the city for all the well-heeled older fans and then headline a nearby festival to attract the younger audience/pocket money.
They have already said no more headliners will be added. And the Vanderbilt show, if there is one, will not want it's ticket prices to be cannibalized by a show at Bonnaroo. Harder to make a $400 ticket sale to that rich dude if there is a show at Bonnaroo a few nights later.
Vanderbilt's stadium is the size of the stadium at my old high school. Doesn't make any sense that they would play there vs. LP Field...
It holds 40,000. They have played there before. And LP Field is such a bitch. They are really picky about the shows they have there. I have never figured it out.

I don't think them playing vandy on the 10th would stop bonnaroo from getting them, but I don't see the stone's playing there. I do think that was the last place they played in Nashville (just going off what my dad has told me). Seems like LP or even the bridgestone would be better venues.

So they would say no to the stones and yes to one direction. Sadly I could see them do that
Well when you put it that way they sound like cool people to me and would gladly welcome them! So make it happen then AC/Superfly. (And gimme back my sandwich.)

CMA Festival starts the next day and CMA has a 45 day exclusivity window on each side of it. Read that when U2 played Nashville and Vanderbilt was their smallest venue by something like 25,000 seats.
I saw the Stones at the Vandy stadium back in 1997! But it was in November, and it was raining and windy. (I think it was odd that they did an outdoor show that late in the year) Not sure I can swing it if they do come on June 10 but those that can should go!

Stones played Vandy in 1997 (my first concert.. 8 years old hah)
I was at the U2 show and it had to be the smallest stop on the tour at ~40-45k

Might try and hit up Indianapolis on July 4. Really depends on ticket prices though because its right between Bonnaroo and Forecastle. If this tour was in September, there would be no doubt.
What are expectations on tickets? $60 a piece for the cheap seats?
www.iorr.org Above is a good resource for all things stones concert wise. Yes I would guess 60 to 80 as the cheap ticket price. Most of the venues will be stadiums and you will thus have tiered pricing.

Since Indy has greater capacity than stadiums I could see them being priced less than other dates but still not sure there will be many sold under $75.
