What about the Foo Fighters? They are playing a bunch of festivals, primarily in Europe, this year. There was a rumor going around about them playing only 1 US fest this year, so maybe BottleRock in May is it. Who knows? They could still play Lolla Chicago. I thought I'd throw this out there since they are playing Lolla Berlin in September and Dave is from D.C.

Sounds like Kendrick is currently working on a new record. It sounds like it'll be out sooner rather than later, although he didn't offer a timeline of when he'll release any new stuff.

realistically I doubt he's here. I also doubt the album will be out by September.
Realistically it wouldn't surprise me if this fest got something like
The Weeknd/ Phoenix/ The xx/ Ryan Adams Or Arcade Fire/ Childish Gambino/ QotSA/ Run the Jewels
One of these is objectively better than the other. The Weeknd is the natural followup to Drake, but I'm still gonna hold out my hope for Kendrick. QotSA would be awesome though. Really hoping they're here and/or at Voodoo this year
This would beat most of the both American festivals this year. Not sure if that's realistic
drop Arcade Fire to a slightly less big name. Nine Inch Nails (would they have a smaller crowd than Arcade Fire?), or Bon Iver maybe. The undercard looks pretty realistic though.

I read that as "Weeknd, arcade fire, xx and future"as headliners lol
is there a date for this? How much are tix usually?
When they ran this fest in 2015 it was on Sept. 26-27. Don't know if they will change the dates if they actually have a festival this year. Early bird tickets were $100 and went up to $150 or $200 if I remember correctly. Their ticket system broke down at the event, and they were giving out free wristbands to people walking up. VIP tickets were incredibly expensive for a 2 day fest. I think they were around $1300.
appreciate the info. very interested in this one if the lineup is decent especially at those prices. That VIP is insane though, no way it can be worth it.
I'm convinced if this fest keeps with the same strategy as last time The Weeknd will be number one. Hopefully #2 and 3 are acts I really like. Maybe a top 4 of The Weeknd/ Nine Inch Nails/ Dirty Projectors/ Run the Jewels

A little high for Dirty Projectors, no? Hard to tell because they haven't announced any tour/fests yet, but above RTJ would shock me. I'm thinking Lorde is the best fit for that spot, or someone like The xx or Cage the Elephant. Lorde at 3 and Father John Misty as 5 with the rest of that mock would seem in the realm of possibility.

you are probably right. Wouldn't mind Cage. I'm kinda hoping no Lorde. Not too crazy about the new song.
