Girlfriend and I locked up our tickets. Barring a disappointing lineup or some kind of change in plans, it looks like we will be heading down to Shaky Knees this summer. It was refreshing how smoothly ticket sales went on their website, as opposed to what I remember with Firefly. Also, no surprise $30 fees, just $5 shipping and a $5 fee if you wanted to do a payment plan.
Ticket bought. Now Shaky Knees, don't let me down as this is only the second time I've bought pre-sale for anything. This also reminded me to get tickets to see Polica in March. Over all, a damn fine concert ticket day.
Though I skipped the collectible, it sounds like it's a 3D press pass-sized thing. The website states, though, the art for it hasn't been created yet and it can't be used for admission. And I have enough junk laying around that I didn't feel the need to spend extra money for it.
I'm aware. I like him. But back to SK talk, can Sweetwood finally hold down Beck?
Sure as hell hope so man. What's the story? Was he booked before and cancelled or something? (I may have already asked this, my bad if I did!)
He was booked in 2014 but cancelled like an hour before the line up drop (per Sweetwood interview) which is why Alabama Shakes was announced late and then cancelled again this year (per Social Distortion listing him instead of the Strokes) most likely because of Hangout.

Tim Sweetwood stands up from his desk and walks a few steps across his office. He leans over and runs his fingers along a foot-shaped dent that's been pounded into the side of another nearby desk.
"Do you see that?" he asks. "That is what you get when an unnamed headliner decides to cancel on us 18 hours before a lineup is announced."
It's basically an open secret that the Shakes had to replace Beck last minute. I have a reliable source in ATL music that says they went after Vampire Weekend hard in 2014 but VW opted to play the Fox the week before instead. I don't know the reasoning behind that but, hey, that's a little interesting, right?
Also, anyone know what the 'Collectible Cred' thing is?
I don't know what the Collectible Cred is but I sure as hell bought it.
It said it was a collectible card that can be used for entry. Or at least that's what someone told me, I was too busy rushing through the check out and bought one.
