Not expecting it to happen at all but if Sleater-Kinney end up on the Shaky Knees 2016 bill I'm in. Late night at the tabernacle anyone?
I caught Sleater-Kinney at a smallish venue in Buffalo last Thursday and it was an awesome show. They definitely put it out there. Im really depressed that this will probably be my favorite non-jam band based festival lineup and its two weeks before our baby due date. Maybe next year.

They had trouble selling the Tab last time I believe so maybe a smaller venue or maybe that would work since out of towners would be here for the festival.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

For people that know Atlanta better than me, if the hotel is within a couple blocks of Olympic Park, it'll be fine to walk back every night, right?
Yep, especially with that crowd. Atlanta really isn't that bad. I managed to walk from Phillips Arena to Peachtee Center and stand outside Peachtree for 20 minutes on my own at about 12am on Tuesday.

You are good.
Also I think the best cab stand downtown is at the Omni Hotel. They always have a bunch waiting there whenever I need a quick ride out of here. And it's directly across the street from Centennial.
Additionally this place is extremely convenient to both Marta lines if you want to stay somewhere a little cheaper than a downtown hotel.
Any chance Pearl Jam headlines? Idk why but i've been thinking about it quite a bit the last few days.
Hopefully not bc Pearl Jam sucks. New York dolls .. and they don't suck!
That post sucks. You might not like Pearl Jam, but they hardly suck. New York Dolls, while mildly entertaining in the early 70s transvestite glam scene, aren't the type of evidence I would be presenting to build a case that someone else sucks. Musician wise, they don't hold a candle to Pearl Jam. And Vetter is at least twice as sincere as Johansen. Also, Sylvain couldn't tie McCready's shoes. /c'mon man

The lady is using all the hotel points she has built up so far from her work assignment for the weekend, so she's not spending actual money on it aside from a minimal fee for processing or something. She said that hotels further out require less points but not enough less to make up for having to use mass transit. She knows this stuff way better than me, so in letting her run with it. I appreciate the tip though.

Sorry that came off super pretentious, yeah no I just think Pearl Jam is super mediocre. Good songs, catchy songs, just not that creative. Hoping for a better headliner honestly, that's all
Was there actually an "inforoo" brunch for Shaky Knees this year? Or did you guys just talk about it and not actually do it?
If it's a thing next year, I might make an appearance because I'll probably be staying in Atlanta.
I think it fell through. We did have a meeting spot inside the festival where several of us (Dave Maynarcustephmayonaisesang_xcxemoney and a few others) hung out though.

Pearl Jam kinda sucks, though.
Also, for such a Pearl Jam superfan, you sure do have trouble spelling "Vedder."
Pwnd. I fd that up and youd think I'd more likely misspell Mike's last name. But I wouldn't go so far as to say super fan. Somebody gave me Vs. (Spelled correctly?) cd 20 years ago. That's the only one I ever had. I think it got flooded and tossed. I saw them at Lolla 92, Deluna 12 and Voodoo 13. Though they were all great shows, 12 and 13 being my favorite shows those respective years, I don't really follow them. I do hope to get a chance to see them again sometime.

Oh nice, that sounds like a good set up. I don't know how familiar you are with ATL but if you stay downtown right by the park the late night venue closest to you will be Terminal West. It'll be a few bucks via uber. Masquerade is also close but not AS close. Best breakfast close by will probably be West Egg or Silver Skillet.
And if you two stay in the Westin Peachtree there's a fancy rotating bar at the top. That's a fun thing to do.
