I really should've bought early bird Presale for this...
I should have too. Just nervous about what to expect. My expectations are probably way too high from last year.
Yeah I was a little nervous to commit too. But it is my birthday weekend. And one of my best friends lives in Atlanta who is probably gonna go. So I feel like I should've just pulled the trigger on this.

So I'm hoping for a few surprises near the top and I could see arcade fire headlining one of the next few years(prob not this year though).. Surprised no one has really thrown their name out there since I know how much the boards love them and they do bring it live! I'm thinking mmj, death cab, om&m, sspu, cage the ele and a solid mid tier to round it out. Hoping an alt j or arcade fire surprise though. Next week announcement week the waiting is killing me!

I would die of happiness if Arcade Fire was there. Someone said something about them touring in 2017 so next year might be more likely. But that would be amazing if it happened. Honestly MMJ, Death Cab, that's okay but it wouldn't excite me at all. There really needs to be a big surprise name. Fingers crossed there is. I'm not really thrilled with the names I've heard so far. I can't deal with the wait either! I'm going to be so nervous when the lineup is here.

After Radiohead I haven't heard anyone mention Oasis or Live or Counting Crows, then again maybe nobody cares to see any of them. Personally I would. Just throwing some new names out there.

One of the primary reasons Arcade Fire didn't play Gov Ball was because their new material wouldn't be ready. So optimistically, I'd say there's a 0% chance they play.
They shared this CoS list last night. I can only assume this is a tease for some act(s) off the list. Possibles (but by no means probables) from first glance are:
Hinds Chairlift Savages Animal Collective (there's tour dates that say no on this though, right?) The 1975 Band of Horses Blink-182 Bon Iver Chromatics Crystal Castles Explosions In The Sky Sky Ferreira Grandaddy Haim PJ Harvey (I would lose my shit) The Last Shadow Puppets Local Natives Lush Mutual Benefit Nine Inch Nails Phoenix Phosphorescent Real Estate The Shins Sigur Ros

Yeah I saw that too. Some names off their for sure are going to be there or they wouldn't have shared it.
Animal Collective's going to be in ATL May 7th I think, and there last tour date right now is May 14th, so I'm not really sure how all that works or if they would play a show and a festival so close in the same place. I wish that was possible, because the more I look at possible names the less I feel like I'm going to be super excited about this lineup.
I wish they'd steer away from putting the 1975 on the lineup or at least high up. They're only going to appeal to a bunch of young teens.
I wonder how much electronic music will be involved this year, I mean there was Panda Bear last year. I just don't know exactly how much they want to include.
I would love Phoenix. I hope there's a big name to be excited about that catches everybody by surprise.

Wait. Has a 2016 Bon Iver album been confirmed??? Did I miss this?

Agreed on having no desire for The 1975 to be on the lineup. Don't really care about the crowd they bring. I just don't want a higher spot on the poster taken up by a band I don't like that much.
Panda Bear and James Blake on the lineup last year really does make it a little more difficult to judge what is a Shaky Knees band. Before, you could cross out any bleep bloops, but now, you gotta at least think on it.
After Radiohead I haven't heard anyone mention Oasis or Live or Counting Crows, then again maybe nobody cares to see any of them. Personally I would. Just throwing some new names out there.
If Glastonbury can't get Oasis, there is no chance in hell Shaky Knees could. Plus, I don't think Shaky could book any band that's plays arenas regularly in the US.

Wait. Has a 2016 Bon Iver album been confirmed??? Did I miss this?
I went back and read the entry in the article since that's too much for you. They said he has yet to announce anything concrete. They are thinking him playing new songs and touring this year as Bon Iver might been a new album is imminent. Their theory is, given his public persona, he may just drop an album with no build-up like Beyonce.

This guy knows what's up.
Noel and Liam reuniting at a regional fest in Atlanta is one thing - but Ed Kowalcyk getting back with Live would really be the move that tugs on heartstrings the world over.

Of course they release the lineup at 10am when I'm in math class, the only class that I can't look at my phone in. I'll have to go to the bathroom when they release the lineup to look at it and cry a little bit. Tears will be shed tomorrow, which ever way it goes.
Possibles that are on both lists: Chairlift Savages Animal Collective (there's tour dates that say no on this though, right?) The 1975 Band of Horses Chromatics Crystal Castles Sky Ferreira Grandaddy Haim The Last Shadow Puppets PJ Harvey (I would lose my shit) Mutual Benefit The Shins Sigur Ros
