...is it strange that SCI has Tauk head to head on their last set?
JRAD went until Midnight unopposed last year. Maybe there's something yet to be announced to close things out?
The organizers responded to this concern voiced on Facebook: Suwannee Hulaween This is a tricky subject. The park has a good relationship with it's neihghbors and, last year, Hula going till after midnight tested the neighbors patience. It is important to the future of the festival, and likely the park, that we are good neighbors. A lot of the locals in Live Oak work early in the morning and also, there are plenty of kids that need to go to school.

Some of these conflicts hurt. Pretty Lights v.s. Dopapod SCI v.s. Michal Menert SCI v.s. Manic Science STS9 v.s. Tauk
I'll have to miss dopapod, and miss out on 2 SCI sets, which is kind of a bummer. I also might skip a SCI set, or most of one, to get a good spot for Primus. If I miss Rivertrance or any epic collabs I'm going to be a very sad panda.
Tauk v.s. STS9 is the harder one. I enjoy talk musically a little bit more but I love STS9's production. I may do half and half.
Also, Griz at 4 pm is realy really shitty. This is my second time seeing him, and the first time was also an afternoon festival set. He killed it regardless, but I'd like to see his full production for once.

this seems strange. the neighbors don't mind things going 'til 4:00am on the weekends, but Sunday night, keep it down?...also, I've only been once, but it sure didn't seem like much was around...I guess I was wrong?

Yeah, there are actually more people than you would expect, living around the festival. But yeah, it makes sense that they would be like, "Ok, you guys can go as late as you want on the weekend cause we don't have anything to do. But, we have to get up early Monday for school/work, so please end it somewhat early"

Yeah, I'm thinking that I'm going to do the same. I'm gonna get on the rail Primus. I'm probably going to have to ditch my friends, but some of them might join me. Honestly, I love my friends and I love SCI, Bbut both of those things fall farrrr behind being rail at Primus
Friday: Meet up with friends and get camping arranged -> Polish Ambassador -> Turbo Suit -> chill at camp/rest up -> SCI -> Papadosio -> rail for Primus -> PL -> Jon Stickley/Bells & Robes
Saturday: The Groove Orient -> Jon Stickley Trio -> chill at camp -> Slightly Stoopid -> Michal Menert -> grab some food -> double dose of cheese -> ODESZA (leave a little early) -> Chance the Rapper -> we shall see if I do silent disco or Billy
Sunday: (idk how late I'm gonna stay Sunday cause I'm leaving early, but this is the path I will follow until I leave) Squeedlepuss -> idk -> SCI/Manic Science (depends on what friends wanna do cause I'll like both shows) -> Griz -> SCI -> Lettuce -> STS9

There are more people than you realize living in and around the park. I do not find it strange that they would agree to let the "neighbor's party" go on all night long on the weekend (Friday and Saturday night) and then ask to keep it down on the other nights. Every fest I have been to at Sosmp ends early on Sunday, while the present biggest fest there, which is Wanee, does not even have music on Sunday.
Obviously i understand the difference between a Saturday and Sunday night. My point is, if the noise from music is bothersome to the neighbors, I'm surprised they can go late night on fri & sat. I live near a venue that always has to be done at 11:00...they don't get to go 'til 4:00am on Fridays because it's not a "school night". All of this will be far from my mind down there.
^Well, SOSMP is not average venue. Honestly I am surprise that music will go on until 4am. In the past they usually have stopped music at like 2am, with music on silent disco until the sunrises.

Any music past 2 am is silent disco, and what seems to be bluegrass picking sessions with billy gilmore and john stickley. I suspect those shows will have the volume turned down to a very reasonable level

True, but as far as I know it is still first time a fest at sosmp has had live music playing until 4am. It will not be an acoustic fire side jam, they will be plugged in and pickin.
May not make much difference to anyone, but it appears Bath Salt Zombies set has been swapped with Displace. Zombies now play the same time as Papadosio on Friday and Displace plays late on Halloween during Odeza.

My plan is to hang at the very back of the field towards the end of the cheese set and then book it to Primus the second the last note is struck. Stragglers will be left behind. I'd love to get on the rail for Primus, but I just can't leave a cheese set early. I just can't. Friends can fend for themselves though.

I like SCI, but I LOVE Primus. If you see somebody losing their mind up at the rail (there will probably be multiple people actually) I'm almost certainly one of them
That would be sweet. I ran into Jason set up late night, randomly in the campgrounds at electric forest one time doing a dj set. He does that shit all the time. I'd love to see the rest of the boys do that.
I'm goin be the only one in my group that's nuts about Primus. This'll be the first time I'll be seeing them as well =D LMK if anyone is in the same boat and wants a new friend for their set!

Do they show football games anywhere at Hulaween/Suwanee?...yet again the "Cocktail Party" is make or break.
The time changes @ Midnight the 31st....extra hour of music?
Idk how it would work this year, but two years ago STS9 did that, which is pretty cool but not THAT surprising for those guys to do it. This year however, the band playing during the time switch is ODESZA and the Chance afterward (conflicting with New Mastersounds) and I can't really see either of those acts playing really long shows.
