I feel confident Chance will stand alone, unless they get an older hip hop act (like Common or anyone from that era)
I'm OK with that, although The Roots fit the fest (might be too big though) or maybe Talib Kweli, he's been doing a lot in FL recently
Yeah, Roots would fit great and would be an amazing show but, yeah, I agree that they're too big. It'd be amazing if they got them though. Roots and Flaming Lips are top two hopes but I know they won't happen, UM seems possible and would be amazing
Looks like they all ready grabbed Nth power, new master sounds, and Lettuce from Bear Creek. With them on the line up, should have figure something was up with BC.
Did they mention when Wave 2 would come out? Voodoo has my vote only because it is half the distance from Austin, TX and I have a place to stay. Very torn.

Well, I mean, technically you have a place to stay for Hulaween as well, it's included in your ticket cost! And no, I don't think they've mentioned when the second tier will be released.
So I'm thinking how badly could they could twist the knife in and decided if they added Lotus and brought back Big G, there is literally no way I can not go to Hulaween - or at least not go without major league regrets. Then I checked the 2014 schedule and it looks like most of the prime time sets are unopposed. They run one or two multiple sets in the day and evening then oppose 3 shows for the late night sets. The comfort in that is most of the adds at this point would have to be small unless they either changed the format or pushed main acts earlier into the daytime.

The way tickets are selling, I don't expect any major adds. I haven't kept up with Hulaween additions or scheduling in the past though, so I could be completely wrong. I'd love it if Galactic was added.
In the past, additions have been pretty small, but who knows. They could always change it up and surprise us. I totally need some Lotus in my life though. It's been way too long
Dear Sliver Wrapper and Purple Hat Productions, if there is a 2nd tier, we have some requests.
In no particular order: Tauk Twiddle UM The possible Weir/Gordon/Mayer project Lotus Iron & Wine Ben Bridwell Flips The Owsley Brothers The Roots Talib Kweli R2D2 Ghostland Observatory A Marching Band The Growlers Glass Animals
And for Food: Amish Baking Company Roti Rolls - The Thurman Murman is life changing Gouda Boys Jerry Rolls Funkadelic Food Truck

Looking at last years schedule and trying to get a feel for how this year might be. So multiple sets of Cheese on any given day, typically with a mid-tier type act in the evening at the amphitheater right before Cheese starts, and sometimes even another mid-tier act at the amphitheater during a Cheese setbreak. Then a "bigger" act plays after midnight on the main stage after Cheese is done.
So safe to say PL would play after Cheese on the main stage one night? Then maybe Primus after Cheese on the main stage another night? Wondering how Chance and STS9 would fit into this. I feel like STS9 would be a better fit in the amphitheater, but its hard to picture them anywhere but after midnight.
EDIT: here is last years schedule for those who are curious:

The only things I'm not really sure about is which night Slightly Stoopid/Chance will play, which night will have 3 sets of SCI, and I won't even take a guess at where the rest of the acts go because there are just too many options. Also, the set times/set lengths are just the same as they were last year because I figured that be the most accurate way to do it. I personally am praying it looks like my Option 2.
Seriously. The lineup is filled with late night appropriate acts, across a range of genres. Any of these acts could hold down a late night:
Pretty Lights Primus Chance STS9 Odesza Griz Lettuce The New Mastersounds Dopapod Earphunk
and those are just the acts I'm familiar with.
It seems like slightly bigger acts get the premium LN slots at this fest, but I would LOVE to see a smaller act like Dopapod or Earphunk play a LN slot.
Just saw Earphunk for the first time when they opened for The Metermen during jazzfest. great great band, excited they are at hulaween.

Lettuce, New Mastersounds, and Dopapod my 3 late night choices out of the options so far. Either that or a cheese marathon. All the options on your list are also excellent, only gripes with others are preference or not my style.

Oh... "terrible late night options" = "I only like funk/jam stuff and the top acts aren't that"
The funny part is that all of the top 5 acts have performed after 11:00 at bonnaroo and Lettuce has as well (in a Superjam though). So, they are pretty set on Late night shows considering there are only like 5 late night slots on the big stages at Hulaween (aside from SCI.)
Niceeee, Hulaween is possibly my favorite festival, largely because I always have a group of like 30 friends that go, most of which camp together. It really makes an amazing fest even more special.
Sooooooooo, one of my Tally friends I haven't seen in over a year has offered me a free wristband to come out to Hulaween to visit with him. Already committed to Voodoo but he said "just come Thurs and Fri then and we can give the wristband to someone else when you leave."
That is sounding like a really good idea and I think I might have to do that =D
Thurs/Fri= SOSMP wake up and make brutal drive to nola, rage face > sleep face >repeat

Only 4 acts start after midnight was what I was getting at. There are 10 acts that would be great if the scheduling were different.

There will be at least 1 late night on all three stages every night. More than 1 on the Spirit Lake stage for sure, and possibly the amphitheater. There's plenty of space for all.
