I'd be nervous over a felony too. Get a lawyer. In my experience they always hit you with the worst and knock it lower and lower. It's really all about the money, and if you put some into the system . Hopefully you'll end up with a misdemeanor.
Spend as much on the lawyer as you can afford. Make sure he or she is local. A good lawyer makes all the difference.

I'll second this. Sink your dollars into a good lawyer, they know how to rip a bandage off.
The first thing we did was go thru a car wash. I was surprised at how many vehicles I saw on the way back that still had a logo drawn on from security volunteers
Actually, mine is still on my car!
Is that a GA thing? We didn't wash the car until home, and then we took it and got it detailed. It was a fucking mess.

I've never ventured into Reddit before until I clicked the link in this thread. Is it true about cameras on the farm this year? I didn't pay enough attention to notice. Second, someone said there was a fire in pod 2, and a girl was raped. I'm guessing this is why Reddit has the reputation it does with many of you.

I saw cameras on every tent and on clock tower. We have them at work too. In main office area. Lobby. Etc. Microphones. They don't bother me at all. I am not doing anything I shouldn't and the mic protects me from someone falsely claiming sexual harassment against me or some BS against my company. Too bad the recording is broke and they are more for show these days.

Yea, I mean I understand the necessity of having cameras. You're basically operating a small city, and I would imagine they were used for more than just surveillance.

There was indeed a fire but it was in POD 3. That happened Saturday during Mumford. I was sitting at camp in TO and saw what I first thought was a tight cloud of fog rolling in and it looked sooo cool to me at that moment, but... it was way to thick and wasn't moving like fog. I started thinking maybe a fog machine for a secret set out at a POD but that didn't make sense either due to the direction it was rising from. Then I heard someone in the distance yell "Help" shortly followed by the sound of several golf carts moving at a good clip and honking. I walked rapidly in the direction of the smoke thinking maybe I could help in some way, I was having visions multiple camps and cars catching fire in a row like Rome burning. When I got close enough to see the the general area fire trucks had already shown up and doused it. IMO Bonnaroo was pretty on top of things from the time that I first noticed it to when I saw a fire truck driving up Main St. towards the area. It wasn't any more than 10 - 15 minutes and probably less.
As far as any sexual violence I've not heard of any reports and googling around about it is yielding no results. I'd take that with 2 TBS of salt unless they are saying they personally know the victim.

I saw less of a police presence this year. I actually think overall that the vibe was more of a "OMG the cops are everywhere" than normal because of the DA stuff beforehand.

I knew about not writing "BONNAROO OR BUST" on your car, but on the way home Monday it was obvious who had just come from there given the large anounts of dust all over their cars. I'm suprised the cops didn't target them on the way home... I guess you should write "BONNAROO OR DUST" instead...
That's why I always hit up a carwash ASAP upon leaving! Of course I don't carry anything illegal to worry about, but I don't need a bullseye on my car, and I don't have any desire to repack my whole car on the side of the road after they toss it.
Of course the dick moped cop who ticketed me in Columbus on the way in 2013 didn't seem to care where I was going or what I had in the car, which was nice, I guess. He just made an offensive comment about "you people from up North" and proceeded to write the ticket so he could move on to the next sucker. In my experience, most Ohio cops will bring out the dog 98% of the time if you look like a "hippy" or "stoner," or are in a car with more than one young black male, but otherwise they normally won't. It has nothing to do with a legally reasonable suspicion or probably cause, just straight profiling.
Actually I is po', too, but I don't warsh my own car, that's what the six buck autowarsh at Kroger is for!
Hmm, that sorta counts as DIY, unless you pay someone else to drive it through.
I'm VIP. If my car gets dirty. I sell it and buy a new one. I say "I", but I obviously have people who take care of that for me. Fortunately, they're self-cleaning.
Where were all these undercovers and/or regular cops? I saw a few on horseback but they were either stationary or directing the runners for 5k. From what I saw it was a corn eater's paradise without any obstacles in sight
Edit: I was camped in the very back of Pod 9 camp Dr Egon Spengler

HAH! I knew it! Ya'll damn VIP'ers are all rich! And someone tried to convince me otherwise once. And I almost fell for it. Almost. To keep up, I'll just stop saying I earned a Street Team ticket this year, and start saying Bonnaroo hooked me up, cause I got connections, and they know me, haha.

From what I've seen, the mounted deputies are not there to shut down our party, and are actually pretty friendly. They get a lot of questions about their horses. Seems like they're just there to be visible, keep roads/firelanes clear, etc. The under covers are the ones that scare people, but you are overly ballsy and taking a big risk if you are trying to sell anything, in my opinion. I saw two of the centaur-inspired officers saunter right past a group passing a big, smelly "cigar" in Pod 2 near the barn bar, and heard one comment on the smelliness and the other one just laughed.
The surprise for me was not seeing any cars pulled over on the roads coming in, or any pulled aside for cavity searches at the tollbooth when we rolled in after 1:00AM Wednesday night - the po-po were there but must have all been taking a break or something, it was weird. Oh, and I was up there with you, in Pod 10 up by the corner of the fenced-off pond, and I saw no apparent coppers.

Spot on with the Mounties lol. I only saw them sitting in the shade chatting with randoms in the area, just kind of being there just in case. I rolled in around noon-1pm Thurs afternoon coming through town and the only police I saw were the directing traffic in town variety, none were visible as we got closer to the East tollbooths. Didn't see anything other then normal security/volunteer searches going on at that time.
I got off the highway mad early and took sideroads so I can't comment on that aspect, but an aside when we ended up taking an hour loop after missing a turn I think we passed about 25 or so churches and zero schools for that 90 minute stretch of rural Tennessee
I was at the end of a parking row near the boundary fence in pod 1, and the horsies came through several times. I went to visit the horses and got a good look at their uniforms-seems they were search-and-recovery people, not cops. I felt for them, both riders and horses looked hotternhell!

Then I'll stop referring to the people in GA as "the little people," "riff raff," "dregs of society," and the "unwashed masses." I will also donate the money I would normally spend bringing someone along to do my clapping for me to my favorite charity -- a non-profit that provides luxurious living spaces for retired polo ponies. I can probably do my own clapping after I've toughened up my incredibly soft hands some.

132: citations of all kinds issued by sheriff's deputies, down from 258 last year

I love that bolded all the increases, then ignored this one

Things were basically the same as they ever were.
I would also be interested in a breakdown in what the citations were and what the numbers were for previous years. Two years of data is no good for trying to establish a pattern. Lastly, I wonder why crashes more than doubled. That's a big shift.

Thank you for pointing out the one decreased statistic. These stats (seat belt and speeding tickets especially) give a good indication of the tactics used by THP for pulling patrons over this past year. As was said above, there's no way to justify a pattern, but it does give a glimpse into what occurred on the highways.

I'm not gonna get all pro-law and order, but I don't have an ounce of sympathy for people getting seatbelt and speeding tickets. Even if there's nothing in the car but the Gideon's bible you should wear a damn seatbelt.
I agree with all of you on this. There were far too few arrests this year, and I only hope that next year they get serious and start putting some serious effort into bringing people in. I'd say at least 20% of the people who attend Bonnaroo could be arrested and locked up indefinitely and the country would be far better off.
