Ahhhhhhh fuck yes! Honestly I'm more excited for him than I would have been if LCD was booked.
Uh...okay.
Sorry, I just was never a big fan of LCD. I enjoy a couple of songs but really they arent my cup of tea. Beck on the other hand I love and have yet to see him live.
This is really horrible news for me. Arcade Fire is by far my favorite band and it would have made me so happy to see this lineup with them on it. Wow this is such a big loss. And I'm really not a big Beck fan, saw him two years ago and it was fun but nothing crazy. I want Arcade Fire so badly.
Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief

Beck rocked Forecastle a few summers back. My fav that weekend. Everyone should expect the same.
I understand if there are those that might be upset about Arcade Fire, but it is not a downgrade by booking Beck.
That brother is farther out in space than Arcade Fire ever will be. No question. He is one of the most important artists of the last 25 yrs. (and, arcade fire is great)
This reminds me of that "but is LCD a headliner?" b.s. in some other threads.

It's more an issue of Beck being a repeat than not being big enough.
They're recording in New Orleans, so I can't wait for all the bullshit affectations that are going to come out of those sessions. Get ready for Arcade Fire's dixieland phase fur boots, cape, and Preservation Hall Brass Band phase.
This gives a curious hope for the early birds of Voodoo Fest 2016, where they apparently have never played.

You think once LCD Soundsystem reunited they realized they'd have to find a different band to rip off and went back to the drawing board?
They're recording in New Orleans.
Since the recording in New Orleans thing, five people I know have posted about seeing Win Butler. He owns a house here in the Garden District, so that isn't surprising that he is recording here as well.

Yeah, I get it. I don't get "downgrade". Must be my age.

Go to Parasol's...apparently he has been picking up girls there on the reg.
]Without spoiling anything for these jokers, does that mean that the name you and I discussed earlier in the year is in? Just wondering if I should think about snagging a ticket or not.
since daytime said nah to this, you mind saying who you are talking about?
just because im really curious who the "backup options" were

Heard Derek has been sharing his infinite and worldly wisdom with him too

I know you're being facetious, but win butler did play his dj windows 98 set at last year's hangout backed by the preservation hall jazz band...
