Without spoiling anything for these jokers, does that mean that the name you and I discussed earlier in the year is in? Just wondering if I should think about snagging a ticket or not.
Nah went with another back up option. A repeat name from the past. One I love though.
Man that's gotta sting for them. From Arcade Fire to Beck is a pretty big downgrade.
Meh they still have one really good headliner to stand on.
Fair enough, but to have Arcade Fire plus the other really good headliner would be impressive. That probably would have cemented where I spend my fest funds this year.

Implying the other one is nothing special also?
Im guessing Mumford & Sons is another headliner. Have no idea who this other headliner can be that he's referring to, but judging by his comment it sounds like it's NOT Calvin Harris, and that makes me happy.
...Unless Festival Snob is a huge Calvin fan (or Mumford).

Yeah there's no denying that Arcade Fire playing one of their only shows of the last two years (assuming they don't play much else this year) would have possibly been one of, if not the best get of the year. But Beck is still great.

So is Beck playing Gov Ball and then heading off to Europe the following weekend? It's a shame that other festivals have booked Beck multiple times since he last played Bonnaroo.
Also, Beck is a perfectly good #3 headliner for this festival. Just for comparison, their other #3's have been Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend, and Deadmau5.

I can't find his complete dates anywhere. It's only showing one date on his website

I know he's playing Northside in Denmark the weekend after Bonnaroo. If he's playing Shaky Knees (which he was supposed to headline in past years), then he's definitely out for Bonnaroo.

Ahh right that's what it was. Weekend after isn't too bad.
The Shaky Knees thing though.. You're right they are pretty nearby. I'm attending both so I'm happy either way
Bad News: So the artist I have been teasing that they were trying to get because LCD fell through was Arcade Fire.
They are spending the year held up in New Orleans recording a new album. Don't think anybody has really caught on to that, so I guess I am spoiling the fact that a new Arcade Fire album is on the way. The plan was for them to play a one off show and sample the new material. But unfortunately, it's not happening. They don't think the new stuff will be fully formed in time. Don't want to commit. I'm very sad about the whole thing.
Good news: The lineup will be out on Friday. No blurred name.
Arcade Fire playing new material at their only show of the summer is like a drop everything and buy tickets booking for me. No disrespect to Beck, but nowhere close.

You think once LCD Soundsystem reunited they realized they'd have to find a different band to rip off and went back to the drawing board?
mumford & sons, kendrick lamar and beck with the undercard headliners being explosions in the sky, weezer and bassnectar
I can see all 6 playing, but no way would Explosions and Weezer be undercard headliners. Past top undercard acts have been much bigger names: The Avett Brothers, Phoenix, The Strokes, Skrillex, Axwell & Ingrosso, Bjork, Noel Gallagher, Florence, Lana Del Ray, and My Morning Jacket.

They're recording in New Orleans, so I can't wait for all the bullshit affectations that are going to come out of those sessions. Get ready for Arcade Fire's dixieland phase fur boots, cape, and Preservation Hall Brass Band phase.
