Found out that my friends baby shower is Sunday. Looks like I'll be eating the cost of my hotel room and missing Kanye, grrr.

No I was planning on just doing Sunday, and I hadn't bought my ticket yet.
Those bastards switched Vince Staples and Cold War Kids around. Vince is no longer on the main stage. I guess that's good to have him play the same stage as Joey Badass beforehand, and now there's zero rap on the mainstage so maybe there'll be less people camping all day. Still...I'm seeing Vince at Bonnaroo and that'll be a better set so I'm not dissapointed. And I really want to be up front for Chvrches, TDCC, and Kanye so this changes nothing for me.

I was so happy when they had the Sunday Honda stage as Cold War Kids - Courtney Barnett - Gary Clark Jr - Death Cab. My group was planning on just camping out at that stage all day. Now I gotta move around?! Bah humbug!

For now I am looking at Years & Years > Bob Moses > Big Grams > Duke Dumont > Beck > Jamie XX > The Strokes. Not sure how early I will get in but I should be there by Years & Years. I am down to meet up with some people as well.

His closer cover is one of the more intense, wild, passionate performances I've ever seen

It definitely wouldn't. He has this eerie green backing lights that so perfectly compliment the tone of the song I imagine he won't bring it out. But then again, Bon Iver had an outstanding light show and stage setup but used none of it for their 2012 What performance and it was still one of the more moving thing's I've personally ever experienced

Yeah I was worried about that Bon Iver set being mid day but that was hands down best set of the weekend.
How is crowd control for this fest? If I see FJM (or at least til Bored in the USA assuming it's the same set as his Lolla set) will I get a spot in front of the sound booth by The Strokes? I feel like the crowds here like good music moreso than Coachella so it will be harder to get a great spot for the strokes (and preferably Beck too). On a scale of 1 (Coachella) - 10 (Lolla) what is it like? Should I be worried? If my mom just camped at the main (yes I'm taking my mom to her first festival) while I'm at FJM would I be able to meet up with her and get the spot she gets with ease? Did I ask way too many questions?

Getting a spot in front of the soundbooth should be doable for both Beck and The Strokes; somehow I don't see Beck being super crowded. There's more space if you go on the left side. Don't separate from your mom; you don't want to be that guy pushing through crowds to find someone up front. Enjoy!

I'm never the guy pushing my way through a crowd, but the crowd thins out at a certain point and I definitely navigate myself through the gaps that people leave. My view is that if they truly wanted that better spot right in front of them they would have just taken it. But if you don't think I need to leave my mom then that's great. Also noted about the left side. Thanks!

LOL @ all the people on social media prematurely getting their wristbands shut. GovBall will be raking in the cash from charging each of them an additional $20 for a new wristband.

I don't know the exact date. Late June/Early July sounds like a good bet. It's going to be closer to the electronic/hip hop vibe of the first Gov Ball than the fest on Randalls.

Ah I see. Well thanks for saving me some money. I wonder how much of this was gov balls idea and how much is live nation pushing the brand.

lol guess that's not your thing.
They've been trying to put together a fall fest for two years now. One of the specific reasons they chose to sign with LiveNation was so they could hold other events.
