Literally left The Prophets of Rage line to go to Courtney Barnett. Currently at the venue...grey 3 quaters sleeve t shirt. This place is amazing. Also I hope someone more deserving makes it to Prophets of Rage. I love those artists but I decided for a show where I can dance and singalong to.
I getting angry. 2013 when I deserved a refund - nothing. This year when it was not needed I am getting one. 2 gov balls. Both involving Ye and 2 semi disasters.
Know it's not their fault, but zero chance I'd buy a ticket next year on blind faith that the weather will be good. This time of year has just proven to be too unpredictable.

Maybe it's the old guy in me, but leaving this fest already sucks - leaving in an emergency evacuation does not seem feasible. Really disappointed to miss my girl Courtney, I shoulda went with my gut and saw her in Philly last week.

Co-sign
Until I forget and love the lineup and buy my ticket to chance away the winter blues. Always a sucker for a good lineup. but this featival may be cursed for me
It's 611. B could have done 7 hours of this thing at least
And then evacuated 60k people from the island?
I'm not saying it was the right decision, but it was definitely a reasonable one.
Agreed. Evacuation would have been a nightmare, and Kanye fans would still be angry because its very likely that it will storm all through his proposed set time.
Besides, its nots like it was the festivals decision to cancel

The death cab fans would have been put out too. But I think they would have been sad, not angry

This is the key. I'd be just as pissed too but trying to evacuate the island once this hits in about an hour would be a logistical nightmare. It's going to get really wet, really quick.
I just don't get it. I'm in central park and it isn't raining at all. Couldn't they have just continued to keep it postponed and wait and see if the storm passed.
I think their main concern was how much of a clusterfuck evacuation the island would be if it got severe. Its not like Lolla where you can have the fest until the second thunder starts and then call it a day and everyone just runs into the nearest bars/restaurants. It could get real dangerous.
As bummed as I am, if I end up seeing a full set of Prophets of Rage tonight I'll be much happier than if I was in a rainy muddy field all day. First 2 days were awesome and I'm getting my partial refund, give me a good last minute show tonight and I'm content.
I should also add that today is my birthday and this has seriously fucked with my celebration festivities haha
Happy Birthday! Hopefully the rest of your day is dope AF!
