"Oh my God. I can't believe I cheated on Jessica with my best friend. It's your fault that you wore that dress and got me so damn horny and gave me all those shots."
"We'll see about that Brunz. I promise you I'll do it again, but first I'll tease you for thinking you won't let me do that again and then the rest will be a surprise" She said with a smile and a cute wink. God, when did she learn how to do a blowjob?"
"Hey, Bruno. Now that you got a "fantastic blowjob," he said using air quotes," do you have any inspiration to make some lyrics?"
"Yeah OK." She came closer and put her hand on my hard-on. I almost came right there, but I managed to hold myself. I took a sharp deep breath and looked her in her pretty hazel eyes. She came close to my ear and whispered "bye Bruno," huskily and left me standing helpless."
Taylor would be super fun, but last I heard she said she doesn't really like the lack of control she'd have at a festival. And the whole young crowd thing would probably bother me a little bit. I'd still love to see her.
Beyonce would dominate and is the most likely of any of these. I'm not even a big fan of hers, and often oppose the whole "praise Bey" attitude of so many people, many of whom I expect don't listen to her as much as they act like they do. But I would absolutely stay for her entire headlining set (barring any crazy good late nights), and I think it would have the potential to be one of those sets that gets talked about for a long time.
Lorde is probably my favorite of all the options. She definitely wouldn't be a headliner yet, but I think if she drops another one or two albums as good as Pure Heroine, she'd be a fantastic headliner. She perfectly bridges that gap of major pop appeal and indie credibility, and is well beyond her years in many respects. I saw her at Boston Calling last fall and have been dying to catch her again. In the Lana vs. Lorde debate, Lorde all day. Both have great songs, but Lorde is a far better performer and I'm really excited to see where her career goes.
Thoughts on the other options:
I was close to picking both Rihanna and JT and I think both would be great and are probably more likely than Taylor. No clue how Rihanna is live, but her sheer number of great hits is enough to have me interested. JT is a great performer and has some great songs in both the cheese pop, and legitimately great R&B realms and I'd be happy with getting the chance to see him.
Adele I just think would not be able to command a huge festival crowd. She's always been opposed to playing big venues and rarely performs live as it is. While I love both her albums, I just don't think she'd be incredibly interesting live. Her voice is fantastic, but does anyone know what her production is like and if she adds anything or changes up songs at all?
I really like Miley, although her whole aesthetic can feel a bit too put-on at times. I'd be more interested in seeing her come out during someone else's set (not Flaming Lips, please) than do ehr own headlining show.
Gaga is done with straight pop, but I would've been interested in her and Tony Bennet doing their thing in the Lionel Richie spot. I'll have to wait to see how she changes her career going forward before I gauge my interest.
Ke$ha wouldn't headline.
I love Katy Perry, but I don't think she has quite enough appeal in the 18-30 range to make her a good choice. Also doesn't really fit the vibe quite right.
The rest of the options I personally find pretty boring or, in the case of Madonna and Janet Jackson, far past their prime.
Justin Timberlake is the only name on here I'd be truly excited to see, as opposed to just somewhat interested. But I would also totally check out Miley & Gaga if they were playing.
I believe this is a list of all pop stars* who could headline** Bonnaroo.*** Who would you most like to see on the Bonnaroo mainstage?
You may select three.
Adele Beyoncé Bruno Mars Ed Sheeran Janet Jackson Justin Timberlake Katy Perry Ke$ha Lady Gaga Lorde Madonna Miley Cyrus Nicki Minaj Rihanna Rod Stewart Sam Smith Taylor Swift
*I've excluded the ones who've already headlined (Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Billy Joel). **Or come close ***or a festival the size of Bonnaroo
Yeah, people really need to do a better job of reading the OP (this applies to most threads). That being said, Launchpad still has a valid point about the omission of Lana Del Rey (if you consider her to be a pop artist). If you're going to include Ed Sheeran and Lorde, you should probably include Lana Del Rey for the sake of consistency.
I wouldn't know what to do if an act I really really liked played during a theoretical ke$sha set. I would also get real drunk for this theoretical ke$ha set.
So you're the person who voted for Ke$ha? I was going to suggest banning whoever voted for Ke$ha, but crazykittensmile will probably ban you first for rejecting Beyonce.
Oh aren't you just so special. Please re-read the OP very carefully.

I had to draw the line somewhere, so I'm not exactly losing sleep over excluding the human Instagram filter.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

I'd be much more interested in watching a full Timberlake show if all his songs didn't feature the same played out Timberland beats. There's only so much of that I can take.

yes because this theoretical poll full of ridiculous pop stars is really meaningful. I took my vote very seriously.
