I saw them at the end of January and bought some merch. Nathaniel from the band was manning the table and I told him how much I enjoyed them at NFF. He remarked how special that show was and told me they would be back. Love them!
It's certainly not impossible but i don't think the alabama shakes schedule makes much sense for the fort
I feel like it makes them very likely. No dates in the Northeast seems to indicate they'll be at festivals and I'm guessing it'll be this and/or Panorama. They could easily do Friday in NYC and Saturday at Newport

Could also be surprise act at Newport if Panorama doesn't want them to advertise another festival in the Northeast during the same weekend. Similar to MMJ in 2015.
Yeah but you can also use the whole "not in the area" thing for Mumford Too. They have no local date and that is very odd. They sold out 2 massive shows in NY and no local...

But Alabama Shakes are touring every region of the country other than the Northeast. With a notable gap in the schedule
As you pointed out, Mumford are playing NY. And their last date before Newport is in the UK on July 8 while the Shakes' last one is in Chicago on July 20. Also Mumford are a much bigger artist than Alabama Shakes.

Absolutely, yeah they are definitely a lot larger. I'm just hoping I don't get shut out on seeing them. Because I thought they would come more local than those 3 NY area shows. MA or RI

M&S already played in Massachusetts in 2015, is there really demand for another large standalone show after their new album bombed?
