It's a comedy show about a New Zealand folk duo. However, the band does extend out into the real world doing performances. They did Bonnaroo in 2007 or 2009 I believe.

They'd been playing their songs for several years as a live act, when HBO offered them a show based around their songs. They don't tour much and haven't released any new material in years (both seem to be focusing more on films now), so it's one of the more unexpected names of this festival season.
I guess I missed the boat on these guys and will have to check them out. While the likelihood of me getting to Newport this year looks slim, I'm still investigating every addition.

Katy- I have never heard of them either. I listened to an album this morning and didn't like it at all. I also didn't know anything about them being a show or that they're comedy or anything, so I will have to give them another go.

I'm debating on getting a Friday ticket in addition to my Saturday ticket now, as I'd really love to see Flight of the Conchords and Ray Lamontagne. Do you guys think Friday is close to selling out? Ideally I'd love to save a little money (at least until next paycheck) while I wait.
