Anyone else at the Isbell / Shovels and Rope show in Boston tonight?
Seeing them on Monday in Toronto. So ridiculously excited for Isbell! I saw a bit of his set at Newport last year and was super impressed. Haven't been able to stop listening to his two solo albums since. Gah!
Was anyone at the Backporch Bluegrass Night at the Academy of Music on Saturday and/or have ever seen Peter Rowan? He was horrible. At first I thought he was an older guy past his prime still trying to make music, but at one point he alluded to being sick. I'm wondering which it was. (Mandolin Orange and Steep Canyon Rangers were both amazing, so it wasn't a bust of a night)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Was anyone at the Backporch Bluegrass Night at the Academy of Music on Saturday and/or have ever seen Peter Rowan? He was horrible. At first I thought he was an older guy past his prime still trying to make music, but at one point he alluded to being sick. I'm wondering which it was. I saw Peter with his band "Twang An' Groove" last summer at Telluride Bluegrass. It wasn't the best performance!
