Everytime I look at this line up I can't believe the diversity of the artists. This year just blows me away! I don't even want to start thinking about conflicts. There are very few artists here that I'm not excited to see.

Also I tweeted at NFF and they said there will be a 3rd set of after shows like last year, "Hoedown at Hope".. that placed closed down so it'll be interesting to see where they'll be

The book is a collection of artists talking about a song that significantly influenced them in some way. So covers in line with that idea. Other than that it's kind of a toss up as to what would actually be played and who would play it. A lot of Newport vets are in the book though
EDIT: Sturgill Simpson played the book's release party in NYC and is free during Newport. Wouldn't be surprised if he's there
The host is a guy from NPR and has a book by the same title.
I'd imagine there would be an element of him talking/telling a story before introducing different acts who have affected him in some way? Or more likely could be the artists coming up and talking about songs that changed their life/outlook and then maybe playing some of them? No real clue at the moment. Says 'surprise musical guests" on facebook so could be good.

Me too. I'm trying to decide on deer tick vs bob boilen Saturday night. Researching schedules, who might be around, who bob boilen has had in before etc etc. it shouldn't be this hard.
