Definitely Ryan Adams. I've never cared much for his stuff, but I've really been getting into him lately. New York, New York, Trains, & Feels Like Fire are ridiculously great songs, holy moly.

Julien Baker seems like an odd choice for those shows. I'll be interested to see what she plays with them
My thoughts too. Could be a disaster (although I'm a fan). I remember when Sharon van etten (sp?) played, crowd was brutal to her. Too many boozed up looking to celebrate and get rowdy. Julien Baker is even more downbeat and mellow.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Was out trying to poke a stick at the fan to fan ticket deal and noticed some of the aftershows appear to be popping up...
And on that note - has anyone done the ticket transfer or release? Hypothetically if i had purchased four three day passes and would only be using three, can just one three day pass be released, or would it release all four? Because in this hypothetical situation that is Not an acceptable risk.
I'm pretty sure last year they announced the Blues Cafe guest in two waves too, the first being the first band or two that played and the second wave had bigger names. And if I remember correctly that second wave came like a week before the fest.

She's great but if she shows up and tries to play the same show she did at Shaky Knees she is going to get eaten alive by the crowd. She needs to come out with the Deer Tick guys ala Robert Ellis or something or it has the possibility to wind up like Sharon van Etten

I replied basically the same thing a few posts ago, and I was actually thinking of her shaky knees set when I was posting 👍
Did we ever find anything out about their plan for tickets/entry this year? I was thinking about my one 3-day ticket and if I'll be able to sell/give away my Sunday or if I'll be trading in the ticket for a wristband or something.

I hope we get some unannounced artists. I did ask Newport a week ago about the unannounced sets, and they said their would not be any. But I think they are just trolling
