It's super nice for those that aren't buying extra TT tickets. Really curious about those special guests, too.
It's seeming that all those shows have been announced. I'm sad that I've almost given up hope for a Braxton + Wolf Eyes set. Unless I bring a boom box and stand in the middle of Gay Street, Say Anything style, that is. Don't laugh. Stranger things have happened.
E:
I'll bring the coffee. Late Night Drones at 1 am.

Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Laurie Anderson will host and curate a special late night jam with Lou Reed's DRONES, featuring a variety of special guests - including you, if you care to bring an instrument - taking us into the wee hours until…well, until it’s over.
Totes bringing my kazoo and rocking the f*ck out.

Suggestions on where to start with Mammifer? Working my way through the few artists I haven't listened to yet. Kinda doubt I'll see them, but the description on the festival site piqued my interest.

Mare Decendrii is probably the best place to start, imo. I listen to the collaboration with Locrian way more though. Apparently, they are touring with Brian Cook (Russian Circles), too. We're like a drummer away from a SUMAC show.

Don't forget about the beautiful and most natural of instruments, the one which every human being is endowed with.

The only thing with their schedule tweaking is that wasn't the bedroom community a Tennessee show? They can't move anything there without making it a paid show?

Brunch roll call. I've tagged some of you who haven't said anything about brunch, to see if you want to join. Also, I'll need +1s. This is for Saturday at Balter Beer Works at 11am Radius Claus
If I'm awake and downtown by 11 then I want to try to catch "Heart of a Dog." I wouldn't be surprised if I don't quite make it either though.
It was fun last year, I hope to see some folks around the city next week.
In related news I'm fucking digging this schedule change on Saturday. I don't have to choose between Sunn O))) & Kamasi anymore.
They changed lots of stuff around for that day. Some times, some straight up venues. Back to the drawing board.
I told you to arrange my sched for me; this request still stands. Send it to me when you're done?
Friday and Saturday? Why not.
Friday: Marc Ribot (Sanctuary) > Drones (for a hot second) > Zeena Parkins & Tony Buck > Chris Abrahams > Anthony Braxton 10+tet > FREE BEER & BBQ > Hieroglyphic Being + Marshall Allen > Vijay Iyer + Wadada Leo Smith > Eighth Blackbird (Sanctuary) > Outside The Dream Syndicate > Jarr > Late Night Drones
Saturday: Steven Schick > Phantom Orchard > The Necks > Anthony Braxton Trio > Sunn O))) > Circuit des Yeux > Kiasmos
Forget Kamasi v. Kiasmos. For me, the worst conflict is Thursday night, between The Gloaming and Wolf Eyes.
For as much as it pains me to say this: If that was my biggest conflict, I'd go to The Gloaming. It's not like they tour the US that often. Wolf Eyes is on a mission to play every rat infested club and basement across America. I've seen them twice in the past 6 months alone.
