While in class today, I pretty much locked in the path I want to follow each day. Quite a bit of running around so the amount of time spent at many of the sets will depend on how much I am digging it in the moment:
Friday Twin Peaks -> La Luz -> Boogarins -> Brian Jonestown Massacre (8:05-9:25) -> Onheontrix Point Never -> Nico Jaar -> Slowdive -> Flying Lotus (if he's still playing after Slowdive is done)
Saturday Parquet Courts -> David J & the Gentleman Thieves -> Courtney Barnett -> Lee Ronaldo -> Thurston Moore -> Heron Oblivion -> Woods -> Black Mountain -> Animal Collective
Sunday The Murlocs -> KG&TLW -> Allah-lahs -> Delicate Steve -> camp through Royal Trux -> Super Furry Animals -> Melody's Echo Chamber -> Ween or Caribou Sunday is the only day I have a big choice yet and it is to try to get close for SFA or to catch the beginning of Ty Segall
But look, at the schedule, and you'll see there are two tent/areas. And they still have music scheduled until 3am Fri and Sat at the campground, with some film screenings going later.

Definitely good news on that front.
Got a feelin I'll be checkin out the Haven Friday and Saturday night
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up. After esteban described not parking next to the camping area, I reached out to Levitation to see what the deal for us would be. Unfortunately, we're in a similar situation.
According to who I emailed with at Reverberation Society, Levitation will be similar in that you'll have to drop your stuff off, then go park your car somewhere else.
I tried to get more info of exactly where the camper check in was, to see if we'd then have to haul our gear to the actual campground. Supposedly both the check in and camping spots are in the same spot, just the parking lot is moved. Which is good for us. Hopefully we won't have to haul our gear far once we're checked in. It's possible the guy was thinking of the non-camping check in from last year, but I hope not. He said a map will be released shortly.
If you take a look at Euphoria's map, you can see the issue. Our campground is the same spot as their Camphoria, on the other side of Carson Creek. Last year for Levitation, there was a separate camping entrance, just about where the amenity icons are in the camping area, on the far left side. If our camping check in is still there, we won't have to haul our gear up and down the hills to cross the creek.
Either way, I should be bringing a wagon. Others will be welcome to use it as well.
Good move with the wagon Rothric. You won't regret that.
For us at Eurphoria, the drop-off spot wasn't the entrance to the campgrounds per se. It was more the entrance to the trail that went down up down and up again to the campgrounds where you line up and wait for them to fill out each row. They did check everything at the drop off point. And there was a shuttle from the parking lot to the drop off point (only ran Thursday and Friday at Euphoria, so if you wanted to get back to your car at some point, it was a mile or so walk back.
If it's at all similar to what we had, a wagon is critical if you have multiple things you can't carry directly. I had an ice chest, tent, food, tarp, blankets and pillows, snacks and a suitcase. The venue did provide wagons occasionally as they could get enough to bring more back. But if you have your own or a wheelbarrow or whatever, I'd bring it. OTOH, if you guys are lucky and can drop off right next to the campgrounds, it's not that big of a deal.

Ya, the guy I was emailing with acted like the camper drop off was on the campground side of Carson Creek, but he could easily be wrong. Having to haul all of our gear up and down that bank is going to suck, even with a wagon. I guess we'll see once the map is released.
In the email, he also said something to the effect of "We're really bummed how it turned out" when referencing the parking situation. So maybe more neighbors are trying to cause grief with the site? Hope not, really like the site, and the parking situation last year was perfect.
Also, for other campers, I plan on arriving fairly early Friday morning. It says the campgrounds open up at 8am. Last year was a free for all, first come first serve, for camping and it looks like it'll be the same way again this year. If others arrive early, we can put together a decent little area. Post in here if you want to try and camp together and we'll see what we can do!
Either way, I should be bringing a wagon. Others will be welcome to use it as well.
Can I borrow your wagon? The wheels are busted on mine. I promise I won't be overloading yours. And I'd definitely want to be in the camping group. I will be in town Thursday night.
What they told us was the guy on the back side of camping where apparently the cars were last year didn't want anything to do with the festival. We weren't sure if that meant Euphoria or any fests at CCR. Where we were was definitely across the creek from drop off to camp. y'all have fun and post those reports. Blotter said it was unreal last year.
To get into the fest, you had to roll through the gates and grounds of Jimmy Evans construction company. I assume Euphoria had to pay Mr Jimmy Evans a heft amount to allow +10k EDM kids to roll through their land all weekend. As Esteban mentioned, perhaps the stated company feels it isn't worth the trouble.

I'm definitely going to be in the market for a just-in-case pair of rain boots this weekend Still, I'm really itching for getting down to Austin for this!

Stop by a thrift store. There are plenty in South Austin not too far from the fest.
Another update tomorrow, including parking/entrance info, early pickup for wristbands, etc. Wouldn't be surprised if we got the map tomorrow too.
I'll take a look at a map, and find a good spot for a bunch of us to meet. Maybe an HEB or something to load up on ice. That way we can go in together and pack our stuff in together too.
Hoping others can/want to get there early. I'd like to get set up while it's still cool, get a pick of best spots to camp, and then have time to pregame/catch a nap before the gates open.
So excited!
Edit: Also, I keep considering picking up a VIP pass. It's only a viewing area at the main stage, but that could be nice. But the nice bathrooms and other amenities would be swanky.

I'm gonna leave early on Wednesday and make the 14 hour trip and get there between like midnight and 4 a.m. So I am certainly down for early set up

I'm also down for a meet up. I'll be in town Thursday, and we're staying at the hotel that's supposedly closest to the fest before going in Friday morning and setting up our campsite.
Friday: Twin Peaks > Shabazz Palaces > Brian Jonestown Massacre > The Arcs/Nicolas Jaar > FlyLo
Saturday: Parquet Courts > Courtney Barnett > Black Angels > Woods/Brian Wilson > Animal Collective
My biggest conflict being The Arcs & Nicolas Jaar. Haven't seen either so probably be a game time decision. Either way going to be a great weekend of music. Counting down the days!
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

If you don't camp you can't access the campgrounds at all I'm assuming. Which sorta sucks, because otherwise we coulda tagged along for a bit of an after party one of the days..
Ill be there Saturday and I won't be camping. Esteban I doubt is coming rather just spreading friendly info since Euphoria was in the same exact location.

Ok, map is up, along with some updated parking info. Good news/bad news. Bad news, not like last year at all, so the parking lot won't be right next to the campgrounds. Good news, it appears to be a little better than Euphoria's set up, maybe?
Here's the map:
You can see the campgrounds are on the other side of Carson Creek from the rest of the festival grounds (just like last year). However, now there are 2 different parking lots. There's the close parking lot, and the remote lot. The close parking lot is directly next to the main festival grounds (where I think the day parkers/non campers parked last year). There is then a remote parking lot down the road for everyone else.
So we'll still have to trek our gear across Carson Creek to get to set up camp, that's a bummer.
Getting there early is even more important now, want to make sure I'm parked in the close lot, and not the remote lot. Like to have access to my car in case I want to lock anything up, etc.
Also, it looks like early wrist band pick up is at Cheer Up Charlie's (right next to Mohawk, Red River and 10th) on Thurs, Apr 28th from 5 to 10pm.
Going to try and get mine early. Last year, the longest line was to initially get the wristbands, then you had to wait in line to get into the campgrounds/search your stuff. We'd be some of the first ones in if we already had our wristbands.
I'll be starting a group PM soon, for us to try and coordinate camping together. Just mention in here you're interested in it, if you haven't already.
Yeah holy shit, yall are actaully gett ing a close parking lot. Get there as early as possible. Looks like they learned frim Euphoria.
Also, those "designated entry roads" weren't enforced during Euphoria for the most part. Fuck, looks like I'm walking. Maybe Ill buy a bike a ride from my house.

Was wondering if all parking for Euphoria was at our Remote lot or not.
Parking for the Close lot is $30 for the weekend, looks like it's $20/day at the Remote lot for noncampers. Wonder what they'll do for campers that have to park in the remote lot. Hope they'd still just charge them the $30 for the weekend.
Brings up another question about reentry to the close lot if campers leave in the morning. Last year we had a few make runs to Whataburger/HEB in the morning. Hoping that it won't be an issue to run to town if needed. Will need to try and find that out.
