Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Alright, so what all do we need in the original as of now? Ticket price...what else?
Without looking at what you may already have, line up poster, maybe with the website url underneath and general info: ticket price, where, dates, camping options, ummmm rumors if you're feeling up to it. Hey Rothric, wanna help run a SXSW thread this year w the +300 events, parties and artists updates? That was getting brutal last year.

Oof, don't know if I could do that one! I'm not on Twitter, and don't know if I could keep up with all of that. SXSW was extremely confusing to me, but thanks to the help from people like yourself and FuzzyWarbles, I have a little better feeling for it now. Still so completely different then any other fest I've been to. So ya, don't think I'm ready to take the reigns on that one quite yet! I'll try and help out if I spot something.
Your efforts last year were very much appreciated though. That and Do512 were the only way I made it to any shows.
I need to go hyperventilate. Animal Collective, arguably my all time favorite band, and Flying Lotus, the best show I saw all year. Together. Surrounded by 5k other freaks ready to get weird.
Yes, please.
Monie If you were curious what the best festival in Texas (or possibly even the country, depending on your musical tastes) is, this is it.
Levitation's line up last year was great, but this little preview.... what the actual fuck...
like.....
what?
I may need to make this happen just based on this.. FUCK! why do i live here. I'm so concert poor.

I know, right?
Brian Wilson doing Pet Sounds? Of course! I love Animal Collective with every essence of my being. Flying Lotus absolutely melted my mind at 'roo this year, I'll follow him anywhere. Sleep is the ultimate stoner metal, so you know I'll be there. Ty Segall rips shit up like no one's business. Black Mountain are a great psych/prog band I've always wanted to catch, but never have. Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats sounds great from their bio description.
And that's just the preview. Holy shit.
I seriously bought my ticket within minutes of seeing that banner. I couldn't grab my wallet fast enough.
Not sure what their volunteer situation is like, but that might be an option for a ticket too.
Dave Maynar, promise me that Big Ears will be worth it.
It wont. You should come to this....
and Rothric, I missed FlyLo this year, as you well know, and it absolutely crushed me. Especially after you and marcoolio (i think?) gushing about it.
ughhhhhh.... i need to not do this right now. But fuck me* I wish I could commit now. i mean, like... aarrghhh. And the dates are a little rough for me too. That is my last weekend of school and the following week I plan on taking a pretty large international trip.... Oh man. You are such an enabler..

Agreed with Monie, and Dave Maynar need to just accept the fact they're coming to Austin this year.
This is just the preview. It's like the booking agents at Levitation have a direct wire into my brain. I trust them with anything they book at this point. I've only come across one or two acts that I didn't like.
And Monie, they do have a payment plan with only a $5 surcharge. Not like I'm trying to enable you or anything EAP, this type of lineup do anything for you?
marcoolio Animal Collective and Flying Lotus, you in? You know you are.

When was the last time Brian Wilson did Pet Sounds? I see he did it in 2013 in New York but still this is epic.. He can't do it that often. Just finished the movie on him last week, didnt know his story.
Wow and i thought they couldn't do better than last year but they're on the right track to upping that lineup already. Just need Portishead and Qotsa...
omg. this is only 17 mins from my fucking apartment..
I live by 35 and Ben White. My buddy lives by 183 and ben white. Bike distance!
I'm at 35 & Onion Creek. We're practically neighbors!
Also, Al Jardine is going to be performing Pet Sounds with Brian Wilson. So it's two Beach Boys.
And if Portishead ended up on this line up I couldn't say no even if I tried. It'd be Lolla & ACL weekend 2 all over again. Intoxicated Monica would just do what sober Monica wouldn't.

Who the fuck is Brian Wilson and why the fuck are people excited about hearing his pets making noises on stage? Sounds incredibly fucking boring to me. I knew Psych fest was weird, but shit.

God damnit, I <3 you.
Has anyone done the deluxe passes? Was it worth it? Asking for a friend.

Just wait til there's a whole Collective of Animals on stage. That's when shit gets really weird.

Hey and Dave Maynar, let me just throw this scenario out there. What if the delays from Big Ears were because LEVITATION had the contract rights to announce Brian Wilson first, and now Big Ears can announce him as the artist in residence?

I've never done the Deluxe Passes, so take this with a grain of salt, I don't think they're worth it. Really, the main advantage is they have the flushable trailer bathrooms in the VIP area. That's the biggest perk imo.
You only get a special area at the main stage, and it was a wedge on the side. I was able to get better views from the GA area. I've never found it difficult to get a good spot, there's only 5k+ at the fest.
But, it's only $115 more, so it's not like they're charging a lot more. They mention something about exclusive food/drinks, but there could have only been one cart in the VIP area, it wasn't that big. All the good food truck places are in the GA area.
I know tronik did the VIP last year, so he can definitely give some better insight into it.
Edit: And Radius Claus I got a good chuckle when I saw the thread title now has ≠≠. "Levitation 2016, it's not not Apr 29 - May 1"
I'm pretty sure I'm in for this. Even with camping it comes out to less that $300. I just need to wait for the Big Ears lineup to see if it holds true. I love this lineup but I've also seen everyone they have announced. Some super recently other withing the past few tours.

Oh Shit! I should have gone to Psych Fest this year, and I just got to get to it next year.
I mean Brian Wilson performing Pet Sounds! Wow, I... just wow! AnCo and FlyLo!!! Amazing!!! SLEEEEEP!! HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!! TYYYYYY SEGALL!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!! Lee Scratch Perry!! Fucking legend! Uncle Acid and Black Mountain and Brian Jonestown Massacre as well! Jesus Christ! Just take my money.
I'm like a little kid on Christmas, and that's only the first 10~15% of the lineup. This fest is so aligned with my musical tastes, it's almost scary.
Safe to say that I'll be seeing you crazy fucks in Texas next Spring!!
so far i like it. i know this fest tends to run towards boy music, so i would have to have enough people to fill my days without being subjected to that. haha
