Sounds right. This is a pretty great top 4 even with RHCP not being very good live anymore. Plus Lana Del Rey and Disclosure are looking likely for 2 of the other headlining spots.
I will stand neutral on the point based off the opposing information. But, Arcade Fire on top of Radiohead and LCD is seriously what my top line would be if I got to book my own major fest. So, I'm more leaning toward that being too good to be true
I hate to say it, but I think I trust Alex Young more than some random dude Cmack met at SXSW.
Why would I do you wrong?
We'll see. Yeah anyone here (at sxsw) can just spout some names, drunkenly but he didn't come off as a bullshitting. I wasn't planning on going but if those are the top names I'll definitely be looking into it.
Someone posted in here at about the same time last year saying that Paul McCartney was going to headline Lollapalooza and a bunch of people doubted that too. Not saying this is 100% fact but it's definitely possible and I don't think that top 4 is too far out of the wheelhouse for this festival. Paul and Metallica are arguably bigger acts than Radiohead/Red Hot Chili Peppers (and probably cost more) so they would have more money to spread to the 3 and 4 spots than they had last year, especially with another day of revenue added. IDK, it might be wishful thinking but I think it could happen.

Oh no no, I would almost guarantee that Paul and Metallica are are bigger than Radiohead and RHCP. Nobody is doubting for financial reasons (at least I don't think so.) Those of us doubting it are only saying that Radiohead - RHCP - Arcade Fire - LCD is just simply too perfect. It's basically saying we are getting Primavera but with a (much) weaker undercard.

I'm not even doubting because it's "too perfect," when you have some random dude saying Arcade Fire, and Alex Young saying no, your not gonna go broke betting on Alex Young.

Yeah, I thought about mentioning that but I was just talking about Arcade playing, no matter Alex Young or the random guy said
Arcade Fire Tube is not always correct. A few years ago they said the band would be playing two shows at an amphitheater in Miami and that didn't happen.

Well he always says its not 100% true until its confirmed. He was wrong about that, yes I remember, but he's been correct about Panorama and Wayhome this year. The only reason we think there may be a chance they're playing Lolla is because he said there would be three NA dates.

I have a strong feeling that was at least in the works. After they played their show in Little Haiti, they said they would be coming back pretty soon.

Random question: Was Black Sabbath apart of the initial lineup release for 2012? Reason I'm asking is Lolla is doing all the retrospective stuff on IG, and they posted the 2012 poster, which didn't include Sabbath on it.

Radiohead just announced tour dates in LA, NYC, Mexico City and Europe with the note that in addition to previously announced festival dates, that's all the headlining gigs the band is playing this year.

Uhmmmmmm does this affect Lolla at all??
The website split out the solo headlining dates from the festival dates. There will be more festival dates. Deep breathes.
