Yeah, I have it up on a few devices but so far no luck either for me.
Yeah, I'm still hanging in the queue on a couple, but I'm thinking it's a lost cause.
They did release more tickets at 11:08 but those got taken immediately, too. I think they'll be releasing more in waves but obviously there's a lot of demand for this show.
Those shows are going to be incredible. After seeing Royal Blood there last year, just envisioning seeing LCD in the same venue is mind-boggling to me. So cool.
I'm just going to Smart Bar on Saturday night and begging the doorman to let me through the side door that connects that to Metro. Maybe my friend Mr. Jackson can persuade him. If not at least I'll still be in Smart Bar. Speaking of Smart Bar, just noticed they don't have anything booked for Thursday night, maybe a secret James Murphy DJ set?
Wednesday before Lolla, Matt and Kim are playing a free show as part of the Pandora Invasion. You have to RSVP and get there early. Chris and I will likely be getting in from our flight, checking into the hotel, then heading over to stand in line to make sure we get in. If you've never been to a Matt and Kim show, you should seriously try to catch it.
It's free, so people will be lined up early. You would likely need to leave the festival early to be guaranteed entry.
Ahh yeah I just RSVP'd to Matt & Kim so the fest isn't that day. But I've seen them 3 times and their music is terrible so I wouldn't kick myself for missing it

And the ones on non festival days hit capacity at about 6. It's never seemed worth it to me.

In the interview, Farrell opened up about Perry Stage, the stage named after him when the festival re-launched in Chicago’s Grant Park back in 2005. The stage now characteristically features a lineup that is mostly EDM, with the occasional diverse artist.
“When they said they wanted to name a stage after me (when the festival relaunched in 2005), I was honored,” he says. “I like the adulation. But now you say, ‘Perry, what’s going on with your area here?’ Believe me, I’ve got questions myself. I hate EDM. I want to vomit it out of my nostrils. I can’t stand what it did to what I love, which is house music, which was meditative, psychedelic — it took you on a journey. … I sometimes cringe at my own festival.”
When the comments were relayed to Lollapalooza co-founder Marc Geiger, he wasn’t surprised at all, “Perry is right,” he says. “Commercial EDM has peaked, it sounds tired. … When you book 170 acts per festival and don’t want to repeat yourself, you run out of greatness and you start compromising.”
Not sure it's a good idea to openly antagonize the artists you book to play your festival, whether it's warranted or not.
Meh, I doubt they care. They're still getting paid to play the festival. I think Perry is detached enough from it, that it doesn't matter. They're just not going to want to go shake his hand.
