Historically, all the free Lolla shows have been totally clusterfucks.
The gf and I aren't actually going that day or Sunday. She and I are big into LN so when that popped up we thought it might be worth it to invest the time. I really have no problem getting there super early if that's the only thing making it a cluster.
Not sure it's a good idea to openly antagonize the artists you book to play your festival, whether it's warranted or not.
As if the "artists" he was referring to give any fucks. Most of these joke DJs would play private parties for Donald Trump if it meant they could continue their lifestyle of Ace of Spades to wash down dinner plates full of molly

So wouldn't this be a reason for them to, you know, play those other events instead? The argument that these EDM bozos somehow DON'T have giant sensitive egos is laughable to me.
Drunk teens should not be a problem for anyone on this board. Any act we care to see is not going to attract them and the park is huge. Just in case anyone who hasn't been was worried.

I strongly disagree. Maybe not specifically 'drunk teens' but Lolla crowds are consistently THE WORST regardless of the stage, act, or time of day.
In my experience it hasn't been bad. Only went last year though. I didn't have actual problems with the crowds like I did at GovBall where is the only festival where the crowd has taken away from the experience at an actual worthwhile act (FJM)

OK, drunk idiots are drunk idiots no matter what and I had to deal with plenty at FJM's Lolla set last year, including idiots trying to steal my hat off my head.
I remember sitting on the hill that slopes into Hutchinson on the west side (closest to Perry's) one year when some less than sober teen tripped over me and then barrel rolled down the rest of the hill. I got up and went to check if he was okay and he promptly stood up, flicked me off, and ran away.
This happened in between sets when I was just trying to relax and get some shade.
Drunk teens will find you no matter where you go at Lolla.

Why do you only go to shitty festivals?
I live in the Midwest so Lolla is close enough to validate going to and I still have a blast. I went to GovBall because i had an opportunity to go to NYC and I had never seen The Strokes and they're one of my favorite bands. Throw Beck, FJM, and Black Pistol Fire on top of that and I had a worthy $100 day fest. My favorite I have been to and what I expect to be the best in the world (Roo and Glasto are sometimes said to be better but this year just wasn't favorable for them) is Coachella. Hands down the best experience of my life. Small crowds at shows I wanted to see, killer lineup, great sound on every stage, beautiful scenery, beautiful women, amazing food, very little time spent walking to other stages, not too early but not too late of a curfew (I don't want to miss one of my most anticipated shows because I'm tired), camping options, etc. I was basically just saying I think people are too judgmental of kids at festivals and especially Lolla.

I dunno, I kinda agree that most of the shows I end up seeing don't attract many drunk teenagers. Then again, maybe I don't see any drunk obnoxious people because I'M the drunk obnoxious person.
Edit: in general though, yes, the average attendee is younger, dumber, and drunker than other fests, because it's accessible to the suburbs and ends early enough to get home by curfew

I only went to Lolla for a day last year, but the crowd just seemed kinda detached more so than annoying. I really only saw BBNG, Hot Chip, Alabama Shakes and Paul McCartney, so that may have affected my perception of the crowds. Perry's looked like a nightmare, though.
everyone should check out that modern baseballs set
I feel like the only person who doesn't like Modern Baseball. I feel like if I want nostalgia of the Blink 182 days I could just listen to Blink 182
i've actually never went through a phase where i liked blink to be honest. but i do feel like modern baseball are a 'you love em or you hate em' type of band.
So I've never actually had a successful inforoo meetup. Let's change that. I say we do it on Thursday at Hiatus Kaiyote (or however you spell it). That works best with my schedule and I feel like it's not too early to where nobody is there
