Looks like I may have to miss this and Movement if I end up having to go to Germany for work. But on the plus side, I get to go to THIS instead. Holy fucking lineup.

@jonesjupiter is hitting that up as well. Is it a temporary relocation or permanent relocation? Either way the electronic music events in Germany are gonna shit on the American events.

You're coming out ahead if you have to move (even temporary), imo. Your presence will be missed.
Definite on Conversation With Laurie Anderson. Anything else that I need to check out?
This looks awesome.
Go see the Song Exploder podcast. I wish they'd gotten anyone but Odesza for that but it'll be interesting nonetheless. That's definitely one of the better podcasts going these days.
No Effects podcast is great too. And considering they got Empress Of... yea, go.
Other than that I would hit Time Traveling With Hip Hop, Tim Hecker and Ben Frost Masterclass, Afrofuturism, IBM Watson and How Close Can We Get To The Holodeck.
Not that I fully understand it but the technology behind Watson is fascinating and, frankly, astounding. I'd imagine at this point they've done a good job of translating it to layman's terms. That'll probably be super interesting.
This is a pretty cool response to that new NC law from Moogfest. "We are stunned by the news this week, and we invite you to join us in opposing regressive, unjust discrimination of all kinds.
House Bill 2, the Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act, passed on Wednesday by North Carolina's legislature and signed into law by the governor, eliminates anti-discrimination protections for all lesbians, gays and bisexuals and bars transgender people from using bathrooms that do not match the gender they were born with.
Moogfest is proud of its home in Durham, its heritage in Asheville, and our friends throughout the state of North Carolina. But we adamantly oppose this law, and any laws that enable or encourage exclusion and bigotry.
Moogfest is dedicated to the legacy of Bob Moog, an engineer who partnered with artists to create new technological tools for creative expression. It was Bob's lifelong belief that true innovation comes through collaboration, not exclusion. Moogfest offers an inclusive environment where all people come together to explore big ideas for the future. We value diversity, self-expression and experimentation above all else. This discriminatory law not only runs counter to the basic principles of equality, fairness, and justice – it is a direct affront to our principled mission.
We will have spaces dedicated to education and dialogue around these issues and we will take every step possible to ensure that Moogfest remains a safe and welcoming space for all festival-goers, especially the many LGBTQ artists and speakers joining us this year.
We invite all fans of Moogfest to join us. We are standing our ground in North Carolina, and will use every opportunity to protest this law – on the stage, in the streets, and on social media."

Really getting the itch to at least do a day pass. As of now I'm going to Shaky Knees and (probably) Wayhome, so I'm craving some electronic.
Flights from Philly are relatively cheap; the only unknown is where to stay. I have a friend in Raleigh, but not sure I'd want to make that 30 minute uber To and From each time.
Giving away some tickets! Don't forget, nipple snapchats get additional entries, and most important of all Dave Maynar is always permanently disqualified from my contests.
Maybe it just doesn't play nice with Chrome. But it seems like there's no easy way to get a sense of everything going on at the same time or when/where all this stuff is.
If you guys don't think I'm doing an 8 hour concert where you're encouraged to bring a sleeping bag AND then 3 straight hours of Yo Gabba Gabba, you're crazy.
That Robert Rich show is stupid rare. I'm surprised I didn't see that listed before.

Saturday made the most sense for a day pass, but it seems to be the weakest (excluding Sunday) upon first glance. I haven't done much research, but is this the consensus, or are there artists I really need to check out.

Imo, Actress - The Orb - DJ Harvey sounds like a really (x10) good fu**ing night. Just saying.

Saturday is my favorite day, ironically enough. I'm also going for weird and loud that day.

I'm also seeing Dawn as a guilty pleasure (and I've seen Ben Frost too many times to count).
Or you can go s.o.s. 's route and dance your ass of at The Orb. Don't sleep on Made Of Oak (Nick Sanborn of Sylvan Esso/Megafaun) or Empress Of.
Saturday > Friday > Thursday, imo.
EitS I'll see at SK. I know what Sunn O)))) is all about from this board and your posts in Big Ears haha, depending on my mood I'll check them out. Need to listen to the body.
Quintron and Oneohtrix are both awesome, so I really need to see what Time Hecker is about.
I don't think Saturday is weak really, there was just a bit less that caught my eye at first glance. The good news is I'm actually pretty likely to do the whole fest now. Just need to figure out my lodging situation. Looks like there's still some relatively cheap hotel rooms available, but not downtown. No idea how close the Southwest / Southeast / West Central areas are, so I'll need to look into that

So is it fair game to not book a hotel room and just crash at this sleeping event Thursday night, or would I be approaching extreme levels of wook
