I mean, it would've been hilarious if Forecastle got LCD Soundsystem and Bonnaroo didn't.
Twist that knife some more, why don't ya.
My favorite part is how every couple of months some new poster shows up in the headliner thread asking everyone if maybe they'll get together for a few more one offs in 2015 or 16, as if 3000 didn't have anything but contempt for performing by June 2014.
I'm hoping for Sleater-Kinney to continue their current reunion and do some festivals next summer. I caught them last night and was blown away.
Agreed. They sound great -- caught them last weekend in Columbus. I think they only played Pitchfork last year in terms of US festivals, but I looked up their 2016 dates and saw they're playing some Australian festivals in March. No dates after that yet.
Edit: messed up the quoting on my iphone originally.

Avetts just headlined a few years back. You think they will bring them back so soon? Hoping for a bounce back from last year. This fest is a lot of fun with a great layout.
Being this early, you could throw out almost any name and they could be playing. Some bands that will be touring that I could see playing: RHCP, Coldplay, Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran, Will Smith. I could also see Tame impala if they come back. I already have my tickets so I hope it's good.
The last few years I feel like the lineup has been announced around 11-12 EST, they said that JK McKnight will be on the radio announcing the lineup at noon but they have done that in the past and he has just talked about the lineup that has just been released. Noon or slightly earlier seems like the best bet.
If they get Dead & Co. that would be awesome, Forecastle does usually have a jam headliner so it would fit in with the usual festival breakdown. I think they got a bunch of crap for the headliners last year that we will see an improvement there. Hard to top 2014 but I could see some bigger names at the top again this year.
That isn't necessarily true they could play every year, I just think they are touring again and should have new material that they may bring it back. In Louisville Forecastle will never do wrong booking MMJ and I feel like they may have them everytime they release music... just a guess.
