Official capacity was 22K for City Hall Plaza. They said that they set capacity at roughly the level of Harvard football games, which is in the low-mid 30's.
The new grounds map appears to have been changed. The blue stage looks farther away from red/green than it does on the first version. Accompanying that change are more porto-lets near the blue stage.
The headline, though, is the heartbreaking disappearance of the traffic cone, which was next to the ferris wheel on the earlier version of the map. Come back, little traffic cone, we'll never take you for granted again.

It appears from the map that it might just be ADA but it would be nice to be able to sit on the bleachers at the field of the blue stage for some rest considering the ground is going to be wet all weekend
Hmm...the Boston Magazine article says that bags not only have to be 12" x 12", but also clear plastic (which I don't own). Has anyone else seen a more official statement on that?
Odd question but has anyone here gone in years before and had to deal with will call? I got early bird three day passes and they shipped me a Friday only ga pass. Their mistake but I have to go to will call to exchange it since they can't send another for whatever reason...Just wondering about timing issues? This is my first time doing BC so I don't know if I should plan an extra chunk of time or if it's pretty easier to get in and out?
Thanks
You should be good, last year will call was a breeze.

Just in case anyone cares...I wrote BC a message on Facebook asking about this and got this response: "12x12 if not clear. If your bag is that size, you'll be fine!" So it seems it can be larger than that if it's clear, but has to be that size or smaller if it's not clear.
"Don't forget that bags larger than 12'x12" will NOT be allowed into the festival. Bags larger than 12"x12" must be clear. If you must bring a large bag then we'll have lockers available for $10 each just outside of our main entrance. You can take advantage of our re-admission policy and have the ability to go to your locker throughout the day."
i assume this mean's $10/day. looking at the map, they're right next to the box office and one of the entrances.
I like the looks of that map. Seems like there should be virtually no sound bleed between stages. One thing it could use would be a water station towards the back of the blue stage area, but hopefully we can do without.
Overall I'm really excited for this weekend, just hoping the weather isn't too shitty. Seems like BC can never get away with a perfect sunny weekend.
But I've been jamming to my festival playlist the last week and have started really looking forward to a lot of sets. Especially some of the artists I haven't seen before like Solange, Bon Iver, Mitski, and Tool

They replied to someone on facebook and said that's the only marked water station but there will be several

From just driving by the site 5 minutes ago, I have a strong feeling that there is going to be sound bleed between Blue and the other two. They point right at each other and are pretty tall. hopefully the tall bushes that surround the tennis courts prevent that

Looking at the schedule, a lot of the opposing artists are fairly comparable in volume. The ones I'd be most worried about would be Danny Brown/Brandi Carlile and PUP/Hiss Golden Messenger. Weezer might get some from Major Lazer too. But I'm not too worried
