You probably will be aware of this by the time you read this post, but there was an explosion and confirmed fatalities at an Ariana Grande arena show in Manchester, UK within the last half-hour.
Much as was the case with the Bataclan attack which immediately led to an "open your jacket" inspection at the Orpheum Theater in Boston, I wouldn't be surprised if there's some last minute tightening of Boston Calling policies.
Boston Calling, Sasquatch, and Bottlerock will be the first post-Manchester festivals, so I'd definitely expect heightened security.
I suspect that bringing anything through the gates which looks like it could be a weapon of some sort or something which looks particularly odd might not be allowed in. (That includes your funky-looking vaporizer.)

It seems a lot of people thought they were gonna move to this big new venue with more stages and still not have overlapping sets like when it was at City Hall, and now they're pissed about it.
3day ga tickets on stubhub for 130. Guess I'm not gonna be able to sell mine since I'm not taking a 50% loss.
Why are they going for so cheap? This is a good lineup?
I thought it was a good lineup too which is why I pulled the trigger on early bird tickets. There's a lot that's turned me off though. 50-60 degrees and rain, mumford getting the longest set, 1975 and the xx clashing, bon iver and sigur ros clashing, major lazer and weezer clashing (figured ML would go opposite tool), can't bring in backpacks, can't bring in cigarettes.
Does anyone know the capacity of the new venue vs the old one? Maybe they have sold just as many as previous years, but doubled the capacity...
This is a good point. BC has never been a guaranteed sell out in the past (last time it actually sold out was maybe 2014?) even with the smaller capacity. Headliner popularity aside, this lineup is pretty much in line with that they've usually booked. The fact that it isn't sold out is not surprising at all.
Saturday GA has sold out as well as most of the VIP options. GA prices are dropping, but I'd say that's pretty good for their first fest in a larger location.
There are only two hip hop acts and the only EDM name is Major Lazer. I could have told you this wasnt going to sell very well. In fact I did!

Odd question but has anyone here gone in years before and had to deal with will call? I got early bird three day passes and they shipped me a Friday only ga pass. Their mistake but I have to go to will call to exchange it since they can't send another for whatever reason...Just wondering about timing issues? This is my first time doing BC so I don't know if I should plan an extra chunk of time or if it's pretty easier to get in and out?
